    I Pity The Fool

    I Pity The Fool

If Dr. Phil can dispense advice, why not Mr. T?

The TV Land network announced Tuesday that it will start "I Pity the Fool," a series where "The A-Team" star travels across the country dispensing inspiration and advice.

"The `t' stands for talking," he said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I'm going to talk it up. It's what I've been doing all my life."

The series starts in October. He'll offer help to people struggling with personal or professional problems.

"My show ain't no `Dr. Phil,' with people sitting around crying," he said. "You're a fool that's what's wrong with you. You're a fool if you don't take my advice."

I guess we'll have to wait until fall until it airs, but this could be quite a funny show. Mr. T was and still is a "classic". I'm sure his comments will soon become an everyday expression! You're a FOOL!

I still love Mr. T, and think the ads he does now with him breaking through walls like Kool-Aid to dispense advice are quite funny. How well it will translate into a regular talk show - we'll see.

Everytime I hear about this show, I think of Krom.

Are we considering this a "non-reality show"? I think it will have all the hallmarks of a supposedly "real" show, but with a lot of setups. Then again, most "advice" talk shows fall into that category.

One thing will be great. LOTS of new T-quotes for the signature. Also, use of "Jibber Jabber" returning to the common lexicon (I heard it on "Boston Legal" recently!)

A big problem? I've ditched my cable recently. That's right. No TV Land.

Well, of course I thought of Krom too and PM'd him to ensure he was up on all the latest with Mr. T. (I'm No FOOL ) I don't get cable either . I put it in this thread as the other talk shows were here as well. I didn't think it was a real reality show as there didn't seem to be any kind of a competition going on or winner of anything.....other than your 5 minutes of fame!

Hee-hee, I can't wait for this. Krom, maybe someone could be talked into taping this for you. After all, we all pity you if you miss this show!
