    Re: General Hospital

There is way too much Mob storyline right now. I find myself trying to ignore that stuff & end up missing something in other storylines I find interesting.
It sure looks like it's going to be increasing too, considering the characters they are bringing in, or at least mentioning. It's the one part of the show I have no interest in & it even puts me off.

If this is the case, I may be taking a break from GH & just read Soap updates.

Lol I am probably the only one who likes the mob stories and sonny in General. I am not a fan of GH and their lack of good hospital stories. There has not been a decent once since the Bj/Maxie transplant story. I prefer to watch well done hospital storylines and GH is no longer capable of writing them. Give me campy cassidines and silly gummy bear mob storylines lol

I'm another former GH fan who watched the show for many, many years --- ever since the early Luke/Laura/Scotty love-triangle days. But I stopped watching a while back because, in my estimation, the storylines really deteriorated badly. I still follow along here on FORT though, cause there are still lots of GH characters that I love, and I want to know what happens in their lives.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the touching departure of Spinelli & how well that scene between he & Maxie was done. Both actors were really good.

    Well, rats...
I figured they were gone for 6 months and it somehow tied in with "Maxie" getting through her pregnancy (although not sure how since Maxie can't go to Portland--unless Diane has been working the judge to relent). I guess they could come back, at least on recurring status. Meanwhile I look forward to seeing "Ellie" on Castle--another young redheaded woman? .

It was a really nicely done farewell with flashbacks...

The Maxie/Spinelli goodbye was touching. However...Maxie spent more time on Spinelli than her daughter she has yet to bond with, who she can't see for 6 months & is moving to Portland.

Yes. Bradford Anderson has decided to leave GH to pursue other acting roles. A few months ago, TPTB had decided to drop him to recurring (and off contract) which BA was ok with BUT he has since changed his mind and has left the show. Sad. I honestly liked his character especially since he's been toned down a bit. Always loved he and Maxie as a couple.

Hmmm... He may be swayed to return one day. One never knows.

BTW, I absolutely agree with a poster upthread who made the point that Maxie spent way more time interacting with Spinelli than her daughter which was unrealistic. I totally understand that the scene was actually about BA and KS saying good-bye (as actors and friends) but it made no sense within the context of the story.

    Re: General Hospital

I'll give Maxie the benefit of the doubt - she's skittish about going to jail for holding her daughter. She and Spinelli do have a lot of fun and touching history that was flashback-worthy. I appreciated it. I've said it before, but they nailed the casting of that baby. So adorable and looks like she could be their child. I hope his absence is only temporary.
    Count your blessings!
