I missed the last 25 minutes due to the arrival of the bodies of the ambassador & soldiers. What happened to end the week?
Well, I missed part of it also, but Elizabeth was about to make her move on Jason when my TV cut off for the return of the bodies. Before that we saw a lot of Sam realizing how the baby's death was not fault of either her OR Jason, and telling her mom, among others how he'd really been there for her at the hospital. Meanwhile, Sonny was frothing about his daughter's marriage to Trey...with Christina thinking it was about to be annulled, was just a fraud for the show so Trey's dad wouldn't lose his money with the purchasers (who needed 10 episodes), and Trey's dad saying that there would be no annulment, and Trey looking like a deer in the headlights. Starr met Trey's dad briefly, Johnny furious that Trey had told Starr anything about him, Starr calling Michael to tell him that Trey's dad was there in the hallway, yelling at Trey. And Tracy telling Monica that she wanted her new boyfriend (Johnny), last name unknown, to move in. She has some kind of medallion that he lost during their lovemaking that has his initials, so she knows his last name starts with S. Oh, and Connie is trying to recall anyone who crossed Sonny whose name was Mitchell, Trey's last name, since she also has been told that Trey's dad has a thing with Sonny. Trey meanwhile saying that was just a lie he made up for the show....
But I missed the last 5 minutes and the previews as well...
And a few moments re Spinelli researching the birth... trying to get the cute technician to give him the data on the tissue samples Sam left (after telling his former obsession that they could not even be friends, so maybe this is a new love interest for Spinelli--I notice his hair is styled so he is cuter...maybe now Maxie will notice), Felicia telling Maxie that the most "exciting guys " are not always the best bet... vide Frisco vs. Mac.... I found that very interesting given that "Felicia" and "Frisco" split up in real life quite a few years ago.
I watched it on HULU and Spinelli found out the dead baby was not Sam's, Sam decided to reconcile with Jason but walked in on him kissing Liz, and Joey jr.jr. got busted by Connie/Kate when he went to see Sonny, but Sonny wasn't home. When Conny/Kate saw the medallion hanging on his chest, she asked where he got it and he told her it was from his dad and his dad had one just like it... she had a flashback to the rape and is on the brink of realizing her son is standing in front of her. Earlier Starr busted "Trey" for denying Joe Jr. was his dad because "You look just like him". I don't think Connie's as integrated as Kate thinks she is because she never remembered not killing Starr's baby and b.friend. I think we're about to be treated to a huge encore with no Ewen to treat her.
ETA: On another site they were speculating whether cute lab tech would become a regular to hook up with Spinelli... if they marry, she would be Ellie Spinelli. :laugh
Ellie Spinelli! Almost as good as Tracy's middle name being Angelica! I have to admit I literally laughed out loud at that one. Maybe diehard fans knew that already, but I didn't.
Well, a lot obviously happened in the last 5 minutes Friday!!! Thanks, Gutmutter!
And so of course Jason doesn't really want to get involved with Elizabeth and Sam goes stalking back to her mom to get the divorce.
Good point Alexis raises...did Kristina get a prenup? Nope....
And Kate realizes she's Trey's mom (I'd have asked for a birthdate, not a year, but hey...)... is Connie about to come out? Stay tuned!
ETA... annnnd Connie's back! :)
I just posted this in the RIP thread in Celebrity news.
John Ingle just passed away.:(
He wasn't much of a Mickey Horton, but to me he's the ONLY Edward.
From MSN's homepage:
"General Hospital" star John Ingle passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, Sept. 16. The teacher turned daytime veteran has been fighting since January, according to his family, no doubt pulling on the strength seen in the ruthless and irascible Quartermaine patriarch, Edward, who he played from 1994 to this August. As soap opera fans know, Ingle also stepped out of Port Charles for a few years in the middle to play Mickey Horton on "Days of our Lives."
"With great sadness, I share the news of John Ingle's passing. We love him and will miss him. John will always be a part of the #GH family," tweeted "General Hospital" executive producer Frank Valentini.
The news of Ingle's passing was first released by his family, via Facebook.

Your 5 - J. Ingle Belles and the family, friends and loved ones you leave behind.
Ingle taped his last "General Hospital" scene on Aug. 24, an outing for which the ailing actor and his family were clearly very thankful.
"His scene was small and he had very few words…. but his presence on the set was monumental," his daughter posted on Facebook. "Beginning with a standing ovation by the entire cast and crew as we entered the set, to the line of people waiting to hug and wish him well, it was a day that he (and we) will remember forever. Several months ago, Dad had said that "if he only had one more day on the set of General Hospital, he would feel like he had won"…. On that Friday, with the help of one of his caregivers (Anthony), a wheelchair van and 2 of his daughters, (myself and Chrissy), that goal was realized. Entering the set of GH was emotional for Dad and it was obvious why he has loved being there all these years. Chrissy and I joked and said it was the ONLY “Hospital” we have enjoyed visiting since January! Ha! The filming did not take that long and Dad did a good job.”
“The cast and crew were patient and worked with Dad to get a scene that was meaningful. Standing there watching the monitor, we were struck by the reality that it was not Edward Quartermaine who was on the set….it was Dad surrounded by people who love and care about him. It was truly a wonderful afternoon. None of us know what tomorrow holds, but today we will hang onto the memory of August 24th and the love and support that was shown for our Dad…."
That episode aired Sept. 11.
Ingle's wife of 57 years, Grace-Lynne Martin Ingle, died in February. They are survived by five daughters, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, not to mention a legion of soap opera fans and friends.
I had to come by and pay respects to Mr. John Ingle. David Lewis may have introduced me to Edward, but John Ingle made me love him. He brought such a warmth to the curmudgeonly Quartermaine. And no matter how ruthless Edward could be, in John's hand's you always knew that family was family....whether the blood was there or not. I'm so glad he was able to come back and share Edward with us, even for such a brief scene, once more before he passed. And I'm very happy he was able to have that time with the cast and crew that he shared so much with. I can't even imagine what that must have meant to him. He was so beloved, and will be greatly missed :(
Now Anna Lee has been joined by both of her Edwards :sad Although David Lewis is the Edward I grew up with, I grew to love John Ingle's Edward too. He brought a little twinkle to Edward. I always loved seeing him act opposite the young ingenues on the show - Robin, Emily, Brenda, etc. - because they always seemed to bring out his sweetness. I'm so happy he was able to come back to the show one last time before he passed. From everything I've read about him, he was beloved.
It really does feel like the end of an era. :(
So sad! I wonder why they didn't write him out during the water poisoning stuff? Does anyone have a link to his final appearance?
I don't remember the date of his last appearance, but the video might still be up on Hulu...I just looked upthread and he was in the 9/11 episode. I don't know if that was his last appearance though, since I missed a few episodes in there.
