Oh gosh, I remember the same sort of thing. Everyone gathered around men and women watching whatever ABC soap the school had on. They even set up extra chairs for us!

I doubt our kids will say, "gosh I have such warm memories of sharing the dish with my parent about Jersey Shore"
I came to GH right around the 'Luke raped Laura' days, but I had watched Days of Our Lives (my first soap) for even longer. I used to nurse one of my babies right around noon time every day --- and would turn on the TV to watch while the baby nursed. I fell in love with Days, literally, during the first episode that I watched. Years and years later, my daughter and her friends started watching Days when they were in college. They would all get together in the dorm and watch, as a group. Very often they would call me (or one of the other 'Days moms') to ask questions about the background of the characters and old storylines. That was so much fun, explaining who had been married to whom, or what so-and-so had done to someone else. That created a huge soap bond between us, and still to this day we sometimes talk about old Days plot-lines.

I didn't live in residence. I had a tiny apartment over a store in downtown Toronto. I went months without seeing Television at all and I walked everywhere I went....thinnest and fittest I ever was (of course I missed out on a lot of trials and tribulations :p)

Wow, nuKristina makes me miss the last one! Didn't think that was possible! LOL! She is shrill and the whole reality tv show storyline is lame, althought had to chuckle at all of the airing of dirty laundry and paternity.

    Re: General Hospital

One thing remains the same with Kristina: she's still a freaking moron when it comes to men. She actually thinks this filmmaker guy cares about her? What a nitwit. He cares about how much money he can make off her.

I actually came to like oldKristina. Sometimes the character annoyed me, but I thought the actress did a terrific job. Heck, teenage girls tend to be annoying, so I chalked my irritation up to that and not her performance! Honestly though, I didn't miss Kristina. I'd only be happy to see her back if it was the same actress. Why do they feel the need to cast older looking actors (not sure how old this new one is) to play college age kids? Have the casting people never been on a college campus? Some of those kids look like babies! You don't just magically start looking like an adult just because you go to college. She's still only 18 (or maybe 17), right?

I did want to smack her though. How many people would KILL to go to Yale (including me!) and she just threw it away. She really is an ungrateful little princess, so "Mob Princess" is appropriate.
