    Re: General Hospital

Anyone else get a little misty over Luke and Tracy's wedding today? I'll admit, I haven't been crazy about how they've used Brook Lynn this time around, but I loved her little speech to Tracy. I must say, I really don't like Maya's hair straight. She's beautiful regardless, but she looks like dozens of other girls on TV without her curls. I hope they don't keep her hair like that.

So Carly is texting at her uncle's wedding? She's so classless. I hope she takes a huge fall when all this scheming is revealed.

I don't believe that the baby is Dante's and Brenda's. My hunch is that the baby was Alexander's, but Dante said it was his to keep the baby away from Alexander's family.

I loved Luke and Tracy's wedding today too! I was home wrapping gifts and watched the current show for the first time in a while since I'm way behind and it gets confusing trying to watch the current version while trying to catch up. I also loved Sonny proposing to Brenda even though I wish there was more to it. I hope the baby isn't Dante's - I don't think I can take the wedge that will drive between Sonny and Brenda.

And I've been meaning to ask you guys what you think of Laura Wright as Carly. I watched her years ago on Guiding Light and I'm not sure if I like her as Carly. I think Tamara Braun has been my favorite Carly.

Tamara Braun is my favorite Carly, too, although I like Laura Wright. I've watched her since she was on Loving so many years ago. I think maybe I like Laura Wright more than I like Carly. TB's Carly was more....sensitive, if that makes sense. I didn't like Sarah Brown has Carly at all. She was too hard and mannish. I HATE the things Carly has been doing lately. It's like she's learned absolutely nothing and not matured at all in the last 10+ years. I hope she falls flat on her face.

You know what bugged me this week? They kept talking about all the loss that Edward has dealt with and then mentioned Alan and Lila, but not Emily. WTF? When she was alive, they treated her like she was the bloody second coming and now she doesn't even get a mention.

I think the exact same thing about Tamara's portrayal of Carly, Crit. She softened Carly so much compared to how Sarah played her but still managed to give Carly spunk and a spark at the same time. I could never really believe Sarah's Carly being with Sonny's character but with Tamara I liked Sonny and Carly as a couple. Maybe it is the negative way Carly's being written right now that makes me unsure of whether or not I like Laura Wright's portrayal. I always liked her on GL and was really psyched when she was cast as Carly. Hopefully the writing will turn around and they'll give Carly's character some more insight and maturity soon.

ETA: And Emily was pretty much the most revered member of the Quartermaine family. It's annoying that the writers would drop that from the family history.

I got a little choked up when Edward was talking to Lila's picture. I loved her on the show - so kind and gentle to off-set Edward's gruffness.

I was so annoyed by all the pre-wedding nonsense, but Luke and Tracy's actual ceremony WAS very touching -- and for the first time, I really loved the way they both looked. I don't normally care for Tracy's hair and makeup, but it was softened quite a bit for the ceremony and her dress was gorgeous and perfect for her!

And Carly texting and plotting at the wedding - UGHHHHHHH She's worse than a rabid dog with a bone! I wish she had fallen off the dock with a bullet in her chest rather than Jerry! Speaking of whom, could Jerry really be dead? Could we be that lucky?

I'm not looking forward to this much hyped bus crash. I'm still traumatized from years ago when Maxie was a young girl who received a life saving transplant from another girl who was killed off... wish I could remember the characters name now. It was incredibly sad and heart warming and think I cried all week! Can't go through that emotional drama again just for a soap opera... it was exhausting!

Isn't it going to be exhilirating when everyone on the show gets to take turns stepping up to Carly & saying "I told you so." I really hope she goes down in big blue flames.

Ummmmm, the "bus crash" has not been hyped to everyone!!! Wish you had put that news into a spoiler, cause some of us don't want to know what's coming up --- especially when it's bad news and something like this that we really don't want to happen. That's what spoilers are for!!! Hate to be a Christmas humbug, but please use spoilers in the future.

PS It was Bobbie and Tony's little daughter BJ who was the donor for Maxi's heart transplant.

I don't think it is a spoiler when it is on the commercials. ABC is the one spoiling it not the FoRT posters.
