And Nickelodean
And Nick Jr. (which is fabulous, by the way, as they say, "preschool on tv"), not to mention the ever-wonderful preschool shows on PBS.
I'm so bummed about this, mainly because it does seem like it's one of the nails of the soap opera coffin, and I will really miss them, especially GH, when they finally go away.
About the departure of Soap Net....I don't see why they couldn't run the preschool thing during the day when the kids could benefit & switch to the soaps at night while the younguns are sleeping. ABC/Disney is going to lose alot of the revenue that keeps the soaps alive, they might gain it back in kids advertising, plus they'll be able to advertise all their dvd's, theme parks kids cd's etc. but I just don't see how this is not going to negatively effect their soaps.
Now that Michael's in prison, that visitor room is busier than the waterfront! :lol Is it realistic to have Kristina get in there by herself? It seems like a minor would have to be accompanied, but I don't know anything about that stuff.
I think Soapnet's closure is mostly due to the fact that much of soap operas are streamed online now.
But anyways, is anyone else feeling kinda iffy about Michael's stay in prison? After the whole Max and Diane talk about Michael wanting to have a prostitute for his birthday I'm getting the feeling that they are trying to set up Michael to get raped in prison... I just hope they don't try to screw Michael's mental state even more with a rape story lol
I hate that Carly wants to break Lulu up I LOVE her and Dante together
I think that Michael has already been raped. . . by that inmate he got the bruises from - or possibly the prison guard. If Michael had just been beaten, I don't think he would have had the extreme reaction that he had right afterwards, (remember how he just sat mutely in his cell when Jason first arrived -- and couldn't even look at him or respond to him --- and how he's acting as if something profoundly unthinkable has happened to him -- something other than a beating).Quote:

I know, me too. I can't even look at Carly, especially when she's being so hateful. I Tivo all the episodes, and one of the great benefits is that I can fast-forward past all of Carly's scenes!!!! My only consolation is that this is a soap opera, and there's got to be some conflict and drama --- and I would much rather have this kind of a storyline than the usual GH mob violence stuff. . .Quote:

Just wanted to give a bit of an update from CMA Music Fest until I have time to get the photos done.
There was a Q&A session with Johnny, Spinelli, Carly & Steve. One fan asked them how they, as actors, deal with a new cast member all of a sudden being thrust into a role. Especially Carly & The new Michael.
All four of them said of the new kid: He was thrust into the role at a very tough & demanding time in the storyline & his first scene was shot in the courtroom while he was on the stand in front of most of the cast. They all were extremely complimentary of him & said he did some great work under the most extreme of circumstances.
