I love the theme to Rocket Robin Hood (Band of brothers, marching together, heads held high in all kinds of weather...) and, though I have no idea whether it was written for the show or not, the theme for Veronica Mars. I do know that it's the Dandy Warhols, though, and I sing it really loudly and off-key every time it's on.
All I wanted was a 45, a stinking 45 - the record or the gun. I'd even settle for the damn malt liquor. - Al Bundy.

It's cheesy, but I do love The Golden Girls theme song and will sing along with it, even when it's played in the grocery store. Of course, I'm horribly embarrassed later.

I also liked The X-files theme for it's appropriateness for the show.

I LOVE the theme to Cold Case, I know it doesnt have any lyrics but the theme is so intense.
Same for the original Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.
Golden Girls has always been a favorite as well as The Jeffersons.

My best instrumental from the past is the theme from Peter Gunn, written by Henry Mancini.

An album from that show that featured the title song was actually #1 on Billboard for several weeks and stayed on the charts for a couple of years I think.

Has anyone mentioned "Rawhide," as one from the past with lyrics?

I usually paraphrase it and sing it as "Thank you for being so old".
