This show has some merits. It's making a pretty good balance between drama at home and drama on the field.

creepy show last night. I know it has to be done but yikes! @ that drill.

I used to like Molly Blaine, her 'mother bear' ways used to be guidance.. calling in someone from the church was just wrong on so many levels, or maybe I just object to it on so many levels.

sidenote: Scott Foley is very hairy

Last night was the first time I felt that an episode was completely absurd.

Absurd? How so? SERE training is the real deal for Spec Ops guys. The rationale behind it is that these guys need to know what it is like to be a prisoner of war, so that if it ever happens they will know what to expect - to some extent. Telling them that hourly beatings coupled with sleep deprivation, starvation, and various other forms of physical and pschological torture will make them do things they would never suspect is much different than actually being put through it.

See, now, she gave me the creeps right from episode 1. Not the actress though, I really enjoy Regina Taylor.

I was disappointed in Jonas almost caving in. Did he really believe that one of his men would be allowed to actually die? For a training exercise?

Let's just say that I am in a position to know more about this subject than your standard viewer and this episode was completely absurd. I don't think it was absurd in the 'SERE school is hard' vane, rather I found this episode to be absurd in the manner in which they protrayed SERE-C.

I enjoy The Unit, but my husband enjoys it more. It think it is a very male oriented show, but having a son in the Air Force brings a lot of it home to me. I thought the last episode was disturbing - that we would actually torture our own men to prep them for an actual capture by the enemy. I can see the logic, but it was not enjoyable for me to watch. Not being a religious person, bringing the church lady in to counsel the wife who didn't want to christen her to-be-born baby, was irritating to me. I agree with someone else who said - that just seemed wrong on so many levels. Our belief systems should be PERSONAL! And that whole thing just seemed inappropriate to me.

Time for me to stop picking apart the technical aspects of the show and delve into my TV geek mode: what I got from that wasn't that Jonas's wife was trying to intrude her beliefs onto Mrs. Brown; I think she sensed that she was hurting and wrestling with faith issues. She wasn't trying to help her find faith, rather to rediscover it. When you have a friend that is hurting, you try and help. Sometimes the things we do aren't necessarily the best choice, but we always want to do something for our friends. I know I do.

I really enjoy this show. I just wish they would quit making things up. Real life in the special operations world is so much more exicting than anything Hollywood could ever dream up.

Molly shoulda called in Jonas and put the smack down on the con artists.

I liked the missions (escort) and (flashbacks to Panama) they were into in both of the episodes.

Re: The Unit

Anyone else watch the season 3 premiere? I can't believe they changed the theme song! It was so good before, and now it's eh.

Good episode. Can't wait to see how they rescue Mack, if Hector is really turning on The Unit, who Bob is really working for, and if the wives will find out they're confiding in a spy before they spill all their secrets.
