That was great when Tony said he never catches a break and then...shh, no spoiler. And they definitely came back with a bang!

I wasn't an avid watcher of the Sopranos, so I don't really know anyones names, but I don't ever remember the guy who wanted to move to Florida. Was he in the show all along and I just don't remember him, or was his part played up tonight?

Also, great ending. I definitely want to tune in next week, although i'm sure, it's safe to say he will live to see another day (purely my speculation)

Best season opener ... ever? Usually they have the opening show be a "table setter" .. not to this degree.

The show's pace seemed alot QUICKER than normal. Wonder if that pattern will hold up the whole year.

I guess I was the only one who wasn't impressed. Canadian Angel, I never saw the Florida guy before either. It's hard to care about a character that only shows up once. The scenes with Tony & Carmella in the sushi joint were enough to bore the crap out of me (I actually gave up and rolled over to sleep after the 2nd one - the husband filled me in on the rest of the show).

Speaking of, how much weight has James Gandolfini put on? And how much has Edie Falco lost?

I have no idea who that Florida guy was either. Strange to introduce a character, just to kill him off. Edie Falco looked disgustingly skinny - especially when she was in the jeans.

Nice Porsche!

I actually expected Uncle Junior to be dead upstairs when Tony was making the pasta. Wasn't expecting that at all.

Didn't disappoint me, except I'm not thrilled on how they throw cameos in of Meadow and AJ - I actually think they could bring a lot more to the show than the do.

The Florida guy, Gene, was made when Christopher was made. (when there was a crow on the windowsill.)

You're not the only one. While it was great to finally have a new episode after 2 years, there seemed to be a lot of filler. There were some good parts, but I expected more.

I definitely expected more! There were a few good parts - especially the ending - I was NOT expecting that at all.

Definitely could have gone without seeing Janice's boob. Ewww. The baby was a little surprising. WTF was with the toy trains though?

The whole part with the hit and run with the two guys coming out the Chinese restaurant - the whole time I'm thinking Who the Hell is that???

The Florida dude - I remember seeing him in past episodes - not in an important capacity, but his death doesn't really bother me one way or another. I do understand, though, that the point of his committing suicide was to show just how much power Tony has over his men.

Basically, this is what I learned from last night's episode that we didn't already know:

Janice had a baby
Tony and Carm like Sushi
A once strong Carmella who was ready to divorce Tony can be bought with a fancy car and a few dinners at "her" Sushi place
Meadow learned how to dance in her underwear
AJ and his friend wear the same size blazers
AJ needs a haircut
A "year" has passed in Sopranos life, and they are still wondering where Adrianna is - hello - Missing Person's Report..
Tony bleeds.

I waited 2 years for that?

I wasn't completely bowled over, either, but I still enjoyed it for all of the previously listed reasons. I was thoroughly surprised by the final scene. Fabulous!

And after 5 seasons, I find it very implausible that Carmella doesn't even suspect what happened to Adrianna. She ran off with another guy? Yeah, right.
