I was also told it's ok to have a glass of wine but I never did. My mom told me that when she was pregnant with me, they used to allow wine because the doctors said it's good for the blood.

People are also told now that you should abstain from chocolate when you are pregnant. I'm sure there are many more people guilty of breaking this rule than the wine one and really, what's the diff? If the dr. tells you not to eat or drink something there is a reason for it. But the occasionally glass of wine is ok.

My friend that is pregnant was even told by her doctor that she could have the champagne toast at her wedding. The the small amount of champagne she got during the toast at her wedding reception would not harm the baby.

The Italian culture doesn't consider drinking wine during pregnancy *bad*. My dad made fun of me because I refused to drink during my pregnancies.

Interesting, I've never heard of such a thing. Drinking ANYTHING alcoholic, even a 'few sips', while preggers is a total no-no where I come from.

I have a question. I came late to the Soprano's. I am just now watching season one on DVD while I watch season 6 on Sunday nights.

How is Christopher Tony's nephew? He's not Janice's son is he? And he appears to only be about 10 years younger than Tony, so is he Carmela's nephew? I just wonder who his mother is.

It's real complicated and I always get confused, but Christophuh is Tony's nephew by marriage, a couple times removed, I think. I think the official Sopranos website has a section about stuff like that.

Also coffee, I think. Caffeine can do things to your blood pressure and it also raises estrogen levels, from what I've read.

Me too! It's like this season is spent half the time tying up loose ends/showing us how everyone's gonna end up, and the other half, on weird storylines.

They've dragged the Vito story out long enough, if he doesn't get whacked next week, I'm going to go bonkers. Another slow moving/boring episode, I'm not sad to see this show end anymore...
