Re: Ghost Whisperer

Interesting show tonight. I'm wondering if the scene at the memorial will finish playing out at the beginning of next season. I assumed that she would be standing there with the lantern showing enough light for the dead to be able to go toward the light, but that didn't happen--at least not yet.

I give myself smart points for figuring out that Melinda was somehow the fifth person (when added to the four kids), but I have to subtract dumb points for not figuring out that meant she was going to have to die and come back. Instead, I found myself wondering if she'd had a near-death experience we didn't know about.

Does anyone remember the back story on her father. Did she know him? Was he around when she was a kid? I can't remember anything about him. Clearly not a resident of the light. Wonder if this is like on Tru Calling where the mother that was working for one side and a father was working for the other. (Only in Melinda's case, the mother didn't want to use her gift.)

Looks like Gabriel is going to continue to be around for a while. He must be a half-brother if she didn't know that he existed.

Re: Ghost Whisperer

So, because her father is on the dark side he feels she has the darkness in her and wants her to come over; or was he just some dark spirit taking on the appearance of her father just to convince her to come over. Was the brother a biological brother or metaphorical? Sister of light, brother of darkness what a family!

Re: Ghost Whisperer

Melinda had a brother in the pilot. Not that it means that she can't have another that she doesn't know about, but she said "I have a brother" as if having a brother was as unusual as having a flying unicorn.

Re: Ghost Whisperer

I am so EXCITED that this is back, I'm a huge fan and this is my silly guilty pleasure show now that Charmed is off the air.

I absolutely love Jay Mohr in this (and that's saying a lot because the man is annoying as all get out otherwise). I'm excited that he seems to be showing signs of interest in JLH, I can see this coming a mile away but I can't wait for the hubby to be booted off the show and him stepping in, it will be much more entertaining.

JLH looks different this season, almost like her face has had work. I think she also is downplaying the twins more this time around (at least in this first show).

Can't wait for next week

Also, she seems to be a bit blonder. This is my guilty pleasure since 'Sisters'. I am so old....but there is something about being hme on a Friday and being emotional. In a dorky " I would never watch this with

It's funny I was thinking that too, she does have an interesting family

Re: Ghost Whisperer

They've had her seeing images of Jim dying for a couple seasons now. I wish they would either get over it, or kill him already. The constant foreshadowing is just annoying on this show. I love it, don't get me wrong, but sometimes the writers seem to take themselves too seriously.
