I hear ya! I loved the first season, and am not enjoying the new trend in darkness. CBS did that same thing with Joan of Arcadia, and it killed the show IMO. Teens, I guess enjoy the darker issues, but unless they are trying to exclude the more seasoned viewers; I am hoping they will wrap up the whole Mr Evil thing soon.

Come on Johnnie Gray, let's get back to more emphasis on the light!

Yeah this season is a lot darker. I miss Aisha's character, enjoyed the episode with the stalker ex boyfriend and the drowned little girl, but the shows do seem a little darker than some of the past shows.

Camryn Manheim's character is just wrong-wrong-wrong in so many ways! I can barely watch the show any longer with her simpering, whimpering woebetide the woman schtick. And the fact that after what?, 3 shows, JLW is already interested in making her a PARTNER??!! WTF!

I lost my business partner in 1993 and I never replaced him until THIS year...13 years after the fact! It just feels like Camryn is phoning in her part, waiting to be called back to the practice she left in Boston.

I so miss Aisha; anyone know why she really left???

Lambi, I agree, something about Camryn Manheim's character feels off. Then again, I was never a fan of Camryn Manheim. I too miss Aisha.

I feel like I'm watching a Split-Screen showing whenever JLH and Camryn are on, together. I usually have no problem with new characters, but this is a very poor fit. And, we're stuck with the "kid", too. The producers forced themselves into either featuring the klepto brat for a 2 second screen bite, or doing a 'vanishing spell' on him, where he just disappears into TV Land.

Perhaps Boarding School?

I liked Camryn on The Practice, but I cannot stand her on this show. She's awful. I really miss the other best friend character. If she didn't want to leave, they made a big mistake getting rid of her. Especially killing her off, so she can't really come back to the show.

LOL..I was hoping that we were being given a break and they were getting rid of Camryn when the new couple moved next door during the "little girl drowned" episode. Even that wife with the haunted house seemed like she would be a better fit.

I don't mind her. I creid this week with the autism storyline - when he made eye contact with Melinda at the end, I was bawling!!!

I would LOVE her waistline.

(that would be JLH, not Camryn Manheim!)
