I think they wanted to cut her part back a lot but she has chosen to leave instead.
CM spin-off starts this Wednesday at 10 pm.

From reading everything that Paget Brewster's had to say I think it was less of a "choice" and more of a "mutual decision". From her twitter posts, she was less than thrilled when it happened.Originally Posted by CCL;4191694;
I just wish that they'd left things alone. The "new girl" whom I refuse to learn her name has not been on the show for the past few episodes now! I wonder if they think that when Prentiss is gone then bringing her on will fill that void?! My answer, no!
Either bring Elle back or get another character who was hardcore/bada*s like her...no more blondies who are afraid to shoot a gun. The one episode where "steve" from Sex and the City was the detective (con artist epi) and ended up shooting the perp still bothers me bc they all looked at him like he had made a questionable decision--at the end of the day I want any cop or person defending folks to not take the chance that a guy is going for a cell phone--hands up means hands up.
And, back to Elle, not to be overly critical of Hotch but in theory he used vigilante violence against the reaper just like Elle did against the rapist/murderer. I know it was his family that suffered and he feared for the safety of Jack but the premise is the same--you killed a man outside of the justic system to prevent him from harming others. Now that Hotch has walked a mile in Elle's shoes perhaps he wont be as critical (that episode always did bother me).
Ew, no - don't bring back Elle, getting rid of her was the best decision. So sad to hear that Brewster is actually leavig
so, 'new girl' and Garcia will be the only females.....yuck - I think it would be easy to delete this show and stop watching.

funny, how I never noticed that but I am nowOriginally Posted by CCL;4178202;
I suppose they want to tell the audience what they're looking for, eh?

I am no longer DVRing this show. We attend Church on Wed pm so I used to make sure it was recorded. When Mandy P left, I was sad, but still watched but now it has devolved into one of the shows I watch when I can but don't really miss it if I don't see it.
Great to see Garcia back as a blonde last night but it was a bit confusing to see her in the spin off still as a red head. I liked last nights episode but in thought it is getting a little far fetched.....if Prentiss had such a background.(a different identity)..how did she get past the FBI screening to become an agent?
I enjoyed the spin off last night. It had some interesting twists...like in why the little white girl was abducted. I think this show will take the audience away from Off the Map playing in the same time slot.
Choices are the hinges of destiny.
I was disappointed in last night's episode. It was starting to look too much like Misery with Kathy Bates.
I thought they got rid of the new FBI girl? She is totally boring. And vapid. Not at all a suitable substitute for JJ.
And, I'm just getting totally turned off to Garcia at this point.
This used to be 1 of my top 5 fave shows - now, not so much.

On another note - Did anybody get to see the new CM spinoff show with Forrest Whitaker?
Was it any good?
