Re: Criminal Minds (CBS)

I don't think it was the new girl, Paget (can't remember her character's name) ... maybe it was JJ? She was the newest one up until then.

Re: Criminal Minds (CBS)

In the last scene it was the newest member (Emily Prentiss). I'm hoping she feels more loyalty to her team than to sabotaging them,

Re: Criminal Minds (CBS)

see tvguide.com (I can't post the link because it will format it into a title that will give away the spoiler)

Another summer. Another CBS actor forgets to set his/her alarm.

Multiple sources confirm that [[ Mandy Patinkin ]] is being written out of the season premiere of Criminal Minds after he failed to report to work.

Reps for the show declined comment, but it's safe to assume that the actor/chanteuse is embroiled in some kind of nasty contract stand-off with the network. (The work stoppage was first reported by the sleuths over at E! Online.)

Coincidentally, Minds' just put out a casting call for a character that fits [[ Patinkin's ]] description. What odd timing, eh?

[[Mandy better not get written out and he better show up for work. He is the glue of the team. ]] I really don't like how it's starting to look like [[they're starting to retool the team. First with someone from the team leaving, then Prentice coming, now her spying on the team, etc]]. They better not wreck one of my favourite shows!

I only started watching the show because of Patinkin. Loved him and Gibson on Chicago Hope

Me too. And I stopped watching Chicago Hope after Mandy left, it lost something and I am sure it'd be the same with Criminal Minds. I may still keep watching it but it'll be different.

Re: Criminal Minds (CBS)

It's not a spoiler anymore, since it was posted on Yahoo.com. Mandy Patinkin is not returning to the show. He quit over "creative differences". His absence will be explained in the first few episodes. A new recurring character will be added. While I'm miss him, I think the rest of the cast is strong enough to carry on the show w/o him. He left Chicago Hope and the show was still good...not great, but it was still watchable. I wonder if he's difficult to work with. He seems to leave shows over "creative differences" quite frequently. I still like him though.

Re: Criminal Minds (CBS)

From what I read on tvguide, he didn't show up for the filming to a few episodes. Apparently, he's pretty demanding. I'm very disappointed, as he was one of my favorite characters.
