This week's episode certainly helped clear that up, but also made way for some ominious trouble for Barney, Robin and Ted.
Oh look, Robin and Barney are having sex with each other again. Gee, I wonder if they will get back together? Come on, writers, this show is rehashing plots again.
Robin got back with Ted after the break up and it didn't go anywhere. Will this one? Nora took Barney's admission of cheating toooo calmly. Has she cheated on him?
Let's meet the mother, tie up all the loose ends and let this poor show rest in peace. I don't even watch the Ted stuff anymore, I usually just fast forward thru it.
To me its obvious Robin and Barney eventually end up together anyway, older Ted (bob lol) usually refers to them as "Uncle Barney and Aunt Robin" and its usually in the same sentence. I love this show, but I agree its about time to meet the mother and get on with it. They can still do "flashback" stories if they need to keep the show going, maybe.
We also hear him say Aunt Lily and Uncle Marshall. As much as I think R and B do get married, it seems too easy. We're not even half way through this season and I can't imagine them not getting married. I'll be highly disappointed if they do.
This show is so repetitive and is going nowhere. If they don't hurry up and get going with the mother story line, pretty soon nobody is going to care anymore. I'm surprised they haven't realized that yet. I DVR it and never can get myself motivated to watch this season and most of the last one.
Gosh, I still LOVE this show. I remember thinking last night that when we find out who the mother is, the show will be over...so I'm ok w/not knowing. Although I'd like to see poor Ted happy and not with all the bimbos he hooks up with.
I do not find Katie Holmes to be sexually attractive at all (Slutty Pumpkin). Maybe it's because I have such strong (negative) feelings about Tom Cruise.
I actually disagree with the bolded above. I agree that it's getting repetitive; but, I can see where it's going. We know that Ted meets the mother at Barney's wedding (probably to Robin), so we need to see how they get to that point. Which is where we are right now.
Major News: How I Met Your Mother Casts Becki Newton in Season 7 It's a pretty big spoiler. But I don't think it's going to be a big secret for long.
Barney and Robin just broke up, and the vast majority of people aren't spoiled so don't know a new (possibly serious) love interest is coming for him. Any wedding is a loooong time away, and so therefore is any meeting of the mother for Ted or us, assuming that's where she's seen. They need to at least drop a hint or a mention every now and then to remind the audience why the show has its title.
