I don't think it's possible that Vaughn was doubled because Ethan Hawke said that the machine had been used twice - and we know that Francie was doubled. Unless there's another machine anywhere, but my guess is that storyline is played out. Now Kendall being a bad guy wouldn't really surprise me a lot...
