He didn't say gory. He said catastrophic and violent.

Also, when Naveen was on The View he mentioned that the cave scenes are shot on a soundstage in an old warehouse. There had previously been a mass murder there - 4 or 5 bodies - and someone did an exorcism for them before they started filming there. Yeesh.

Good episode! I loved the moment in the airport when Rose dropped her meds right in front of Locke's wheelchair.

Again, I have to say the close-ups and prominent placement of the extras in Bernard's group were distracting. I know they only have a certain number of named characters to deal with and many of them are already committed to something (Locke and A-L in the hatch, etc.) so to make a good crowd scene, they have to use extras. It just seems like when they used to use them it was more unobtrusive.

I was getting nervous about Lost about six weeks ago. I wasn't really enjoying the episodes as much and wasn't feeling like it held the same "appointment TV" stature. But I definitely feel like they're back on track since the Lockdown episode! YAY LOST!!!

Only 2 nicknames from Sawyer tonight. He called Jack Dr. Giggles and he used another nickname for Bernard I think. I can't remember what it was though. Funny thing. I had the TV on mute so my husband could study (I had headphones). Anyway, when it came to the scene where Ana told Locke "I pressed your button" and Locke said "It's not my button", the closed caption omitted the on from button. So it looked like Locke said "It's not my butt."
Hurley: (holding up a Jesus statue) I don't know. I thought there might be a prowler or something.
Mrs. Reyes: (grabbing the statue) Jesus Christ is not a weapon! - LOST "There's No Place Like Home Pt. 1

Apparently I'm still on the old server (you can check your status in the Announcements forum) and tonight has been so painfully slow that I'm about ready to plunge an icepick into my forehead. It took me so long to even get into this thread tonight that I had to combine my first 2 posts. (I usually make one post at each commercial break.) The system timed me out, which I just hate, because now all my new post notifications are gone.

Bitch, bitch, bitch. I'm sure I'll survive.

I really enjoyed tonight's episode. It kind of felt like we were getting back on the right track.

Wow, great episode. I was kind of thrown in the beginning at the way Rose and Bernard were talking to each other. She has always been shown as so serene and with such great faith. I guess we know why now. And she knows Locke's secret and hasn't told.
So the Island has cured Locke, Rose and Jin. Hmmm

I knew Eko was building a church and I loved it when he said to Bernard: there are different ways to save and Bernard replied he liked him better when he was hitting people with his stick.

Oh, Henry is EVIL. Those smirks! I think you are on to something about him being the leader, whoever said that. But you'd think they'd be smarter than leaving a man in a grave when he said it was his wife.

So when does someone get a screencap of the notes on the wall of the faith healers house so we can see if there are familiar names or anything???

ANd I LOVED it when Jack told Sawyer he didn't need a gun, he had one and he wasn't asking him to go, he wanted Kate. TOO Funny!

Good show. and Next week looks good too. And Michael is back. Finally!

I said it I think Henry is okay with them finding there isn't a woman in the grave because he could play it two ways 1) banking on them not digging or 2) playing the "I'm so scared, they killed him, not me" card.

He did seem to look as if he underestimated the intelligence of some of the surviors. When Sayid said the real Henry was killed after he landed, you could see the fake Henry's wheels spinning in his head to come up with a new lie because he initially said the real Henry was dead when they found him. He thinks his initial lies will fly but then someone calls him on something and he has to make up a new lie and sometimes cries about it just to reinforce that he's a pawn in all this.

I think he's the leader because he was offended when he heard they thought the bearded guy was the leader and he practically spit when he said "Him? He's nobody!" as if he was upset for a split second that someone else was getting the title of being leader. His ego wouldn't hear of it and that's what gave it away for me. That, and all his psych games pitting Jack and Locke against each other and his little smirks. He can outsmart those two but he hasn't been so lucky with Sayid. Next week the previews show him overpowering Ana Lucia.

OK, I'll bite. What did it cure Jin of?

I don't get a "leader" vibe from him. He seems to be really afraid of what will happen if he "talks". He said the rest of his group would kill him.

Lost isn't on next week, to make room for a 2-hour Alias. Then the following week there's another "special" episode. So our next regular episode will be May 3.

I think that's referring to the sudden strength and fertility of Jin's Little Soldiers.

DAmn, damn, damn, 2 more weeks????
    WHY?????

Why does ABC keep screwing around with the schedule. Alias, Commander in Chief and Invasion haven't been on in ages. And now towards the END of the season, they are all back on.

I do NOT understand their reasoning behind the programming except that May is sweeps month. I briefly (only briefly, worst job I ever had) worked for Neilson, long, long, long ago. Mind numbingly boring doesn't even begin to describe it. ANd a case from a quote I read on the Fort: How sad to see so little power go to someone's head. That would be my supervisor there.

I did data entry from handwritten tv diaries that people were supposed to keep and mail back. Oh my god! It sucked. Did I say that already?

Ok, back to lost and ABC. They get us all hot and bothered and then nothing for 2 weeks. Kind of like watching that soft porn on Cinemax at night and then just rolling over and going to sleep.

Saw the same thing and ... childish, I know! Glad I wasn't alone...
