    "Kingpin"

File this under "We had hiiii-IIIII-gggh hopes..."

Well, I certainly did for this show.

That's 60 mins of my life I'm never getting back. Anyone disagree?

I missed the premiere, but taped last night's episode and haven't watched it yet. Not worth it?

It's only 6 episodes, if that helps. They're floating it on a test basis.

It could have been worse. It could have been "AUSA" ["Assistant U.S. Attorney"].

I should have known something was rotten in the state of Denmark when I read an interview with the director/producer/whoever who said something like, "I wanted to do 'The Sopranos' meets 'Traffic', but I ended up doing 'The Sopranos' meets 'The Godfather.'"

It's been my experience that when a writer or director or even an actor says something like that, they're going to do something that combines both and honors neither (and be unoriginal).

lol, the other show I taped was AUSA. It wasn't terrible, as far as today's comedies go. It's no Malcolm or That 70's Show, though.

And I watched Kingpin a few minutes ago. I liked it, but one that needs a little adjustment in my thinking of "what's good".

It helps that I really like the guy who plays Manny (I can't remember his name, but he was in Spy Kids).
