From CNN.com - the show's been picked up for a second season

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.

This is a show for people who have a brain...Thank God...so many shows, especially cop shows now, are dumbed down and I hate that...

I love that it's not so forumulaic the way many cop shows are. The character of Brenda is not one we have seen on TV before - she's complex in the way that many female characters in crime fiction are. Plus, I think Kyra is doing an amazing job with the role.

This week's episode was so good. The stuff with the GPS unit really had me "Where am I? Where am I? Where am I?"

It has become one of my faves too. I really enjoy Brenda and her aloofness and the aspect/character conflict that it brings to the show.

I enjoy the show also. I only have one little complaint. Brenda's cat had kittens. The next day Fritz went to pick them up at the vets. They were in the back seat. Those were not one day old kittens. These kittens were up and around furry with fully open eyes. It takes at least 7-10 days for kittens to open their eyes.
This show usually is more intelligent than this.
I don't object to the concept of a deity, but I'm baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr...purr...purr.

I also enjoy the show. I've believed Kyra Sedgewick to be a fine actress since her soap days.

The one problem I have with the show is this. When she is questioning a suspect who asks for an attorney, she tells them what will happen if they insist on getting a lawyer instead of answering her questions. It seems to me that a defense attorney could get a lot of these cases thrown out on that basis alone.

I also love this show and Kyra Sedgwick (long a favorite of mine) is terrific in the role - a truly complex character for a change. She is tough when she has to be, vulnerable and open when caught off guard, and klutzy when she is preoccupied with a case. Plus she has no sense of direction (I can relate), but smart as a whip (much to the chagrin of some of her co-workers). The guys who work for her are developing a respect for her abilities because she has earned it. This show is so good, I hope it stays around for awhile.

    I LOVE this show

I was so upset when FOX cancelled The Inside....then I found the Closer and I am totally hooked!

Kyra Sedgewick is awesome as Brenda...I don't think they could have cast it better.
