Loved it! This is now my new favorite show. Loved the humor of the last episode.

    Too late.

I guess I can console myself by watching the original.

    Let's not forget the mantra:

    I want to believe.

Seems this mini-series, humor and all, is actually still loyal to that premise. Kudos to that.

Love this show. I can't believe how much I missed Mulder and Scully working monster cases. Loved the lizard one, and the trash man one was good too.

This past episode, I think has been the best thus far. I'm excited for more.

I am predicting that they may start a new season with the younger versions of themselves ... Miller and Einstein. I guess I would watch, and hope Mulder and Scully would be called in every now and then.

What she said, is what I'm thinking. Notice how they now say ďSEASON finaleĒ (as opposed to series finale)?

It could actually work, especially if Mulder and Scully checked in every once and while. In seasons 8 and 9, David Duchovny only did the occasional guest spot while Scully teamed up with new agents Doggett and Reyes (both of whom I actually liked, am I the only one?) and that worked surprisingly well. Given the ratings and the general level of enthusiasm from the old fan base, Iíd say there will be more to come. Well, this old X-Phile certainly hopes so!

Having said that, I wasnít crazy about the last episode. I love Lauren Ambrose ever since the Six Feet Under Years, but her character didnít seem very nuanced or believable and she wasn't given much material to work with. It was fun to see the Lone Gunmen again though, albeit very briefly. To be honest, Iím not crazy about Chris Carterís writing. Like, at all. Am I stepping on toes here? The best shows, historically as well as during this new instalment (I'm reluctant to call it a reboot as it takes place in the same fictional universe as the original series, even with the Cigarette Smoking Man being alive and all... yeah, I know, geek alert! ), are always the ones heís not involved in, in my opinion. He's good for vision and overall mytharc but his scripts never seem as well-written as the ones written by Darin Morgan, Frank Spotnitz, Glen Morgan, James Wong and, of course, Vince Gilligan. They tend to make the best episodes (especially monster-of-the-week ones). Would love for all of them to be involved in a possible spin-off/continuing of the seriesI adored the Darin Morgan episode of this miniseries/short season, the one about the weremonster. Too funny.

IMHO, the best quote from this 'season' finale, thanks to Scully:
