I know the baby IRL & when it said she was 12 weeks old, they (it's twins) were really about 10 weeks old. They were preemies too.

Well, you know they'd have to use a younger (thinner) premie, since the camera adds 10 lbs.!

Derek and Meredith adopting out of the blue.... And Derek just assuming Meredith, who's in a fight for chief resident, is at the right time of her life to adopt.... They are just going to pop this baby into daycare?

LOL adopting has to be less stressful than going through taking those darn fertility shots and the anxiety of trying to get pregnant. I have had several friends on the shots trying to get pregnant and boy it really seems to do a number on them.......emotions all over the board. And sure they would put the baby in daycare just like they would if she had given birth......probably the same as Callie will do....it is what most young working mothers do in today's society......few get the luxury of being a stay at home mom. It seems in most cases the time is never ideal to have a child........if you are waiting for the ideal time you may never have children. LOL
Choices are the hinges of destiny.

Yeah, but here is a kid who has been bounced around a lot, plus she is having surgery... You'd think she could do with a few months of stabilizing before daycare...

Maybe Meredith will be faced with a dilemma: withdraw from the competition for chief resident in order to stay home and parent the baby for a while, or take the daycare (or nanny) option, or not adopt at this time.

Daycare would be the better option...compared to what she has to look forward to if they don't adopt her.
I hate when the cops throw me in the back of the squad car ....like they didn’t hear me call shotgun.

Who's gonna get chief resident? Mer will be in deep doodoo thanks to Alex, so it's not her. We know it's not Yang. April is a wuss, so it's probably not her. Avery? He dropped out of the trial but for good reason. Does that earn him points? Doesn't that just leave Karev? He's a good doctor, but hard to get along with. Who do you think it will be?

There were two big clues that made me think it will be April. Hunt made a huge deal about all the paperwork and organizational tasks that the chief resident must do. He told Christina he did not select her because she is a surgeon, and she would hate the chief resident job. Also, someone (Christina??) made the snide comment that April could NEVER be chief resident. Seems like foreshadowing to me.

I was thinking the same thing. April is the only one that is so organized and doesn't mind doing paper work or following rules.

Ellen Pompeo (Meredith) was on The View yesterday. She was quite candid about the adoption and fertility storyline. She was quite animated about several subjects. It really took me by surprise. Sherry had to calm her down a bit. It was rather uncomfortable. At that point she was talking about the NAACP. She went off on several topics. Any idea of what's going on with her?
I recently saw some great photos of her, hubby and baby girl on the beach.
