Do NOT stand in Claudette's way of finding the truth. She rocks!

How about Dani and Julian's plot about the neighbor feud that ended up with Dani shooting a gun wielding arab man? It was really sad that neither of those neighbors would let it go even an inch. Damn people, go in your stupid house and shut up like Julian told you.

My son said he saw an interview with Mike Chicklis and they were kind of implying that the Shield is a bad show to watch and he turned around and said "if people are talking about it, then we are accomplishing what we set out to do". He seems like such a great person and he is right, if the show makes people think about what is going on in the world with police corruption and everything they've covered so far, and discuss it, that in itself tells you that the show is on target.

Okay question. In last night's episode, Dutch made a huge mistake with the suspects regarding the girl whose arm had been cut off. I missed something because #1 how did Dutch get the arm to begin with and why? and #2 Dutch was certain it was the man who was "a sadistic tortorous sex fiend" and it turned out to be the girl. Did the girl actually do the kidnapping and the cutting or what? I am confused!

some teenage boy brought the arm into the police station and dropped it on Dutch's desk in a paper bag. Not quite sure how he would have made his way all to way into the detective's desk area, but nonetheless it was quite dramatic. Dutch questioned him as to where it was from and the kid showed him the dumpster that it was next to. Dutch asked why he didn't leave it alone and call 911 and the kid said that a dog was picking at it, he didn't want to leave it or the dog would eat it.

Dutch started questioning around the neighborhood, sure enough a young lady was unaccounted for. Dutch overestimated his own abilities to read people and mistakenly thought that by treating psycho girl as her disciplinarian dad that she would crack. Both the man and the psycho girl were in on it and loved it, as when Dutch first went to their door to question them psychogirl answered the door and talked to Dutch but you could see that psychoman was at that same time torturing a conscious and one-armed victim in their bathtub-shower dealy, but that her mouth was gagged so she couldn't alert Dutch as to her presence. The psycho chick told Dutch some story about seeing someone else, the psychoguy collaborated, they both went down to the station (leaving poor one are girl in their tub) and gave descriptions of a neighbor guy. That was a red herring. When Dutch found out about the guy's kidnapping charge he brought them back in for questioning, but at that point they'd moved poor one arm in the trunk (still alive) but then by the time Dutch figured out they were lying (and that Dutch wasn't quite the psychic he thought he was) the vic was dead.

Poor Dutch. I like him and Claudette the best. I just hope that this doesn't warm Dutch up to the dark side so he starts beating confessions out of perps for "justice" sake, as that is the start of Vic's slippery slope of justice.

    This was a good episode.

I am glad Vic's (not to be confused with the vic) wife moved back home.

As soon as freak girl wouldn't give freak guy up, I knew she had to be playing Dutch and wasn't the scared innocent. Im not sure she did the cutting, but the guy said it was her idea.

    Vic getting shot. Wow.

Dutch and Claudette are my favorites too. The screwed up thing is I don't want Claudette getting the lowdown on Vic I don't think she'll stop digging anytime soon though.

The captain is going to get himself in too deep soon (if he hasn't already).

What ever happened with the Male escort sting operation? They never showed any of it

I feel bad for what's his name, who told the truth about being in the house with the woman when his partner shot the guy last week. I really like him too.

What the hell is that lady (she's not internal affairs, but she's there all the time getting info on the cops)?

The only part I heard about the male escort sting was that Vic had "given" his "boys" to Aceveda for the day as David wanted to shut down the prostitution ring that was occurring right in front of him while he was campaigning for city council on the city streets. Vic wanted time alone as he was meeting with his former partner (the cop who had to retire because he beat up that punk with the stolen goods) and didn't want his crew around for that meeting. Vic told Shane that his shirt was right for the part as it was a rather flamboyant looking yellow shirt. After Vic got done with his former partner he called back his crew and we never saw anything else of the sting operation. Let's just assume that Shane made an acceptable John decoy.

I knew from last seasons final episode when Vic Mackey's wife left with the kids, the ONLY thing that would bring her back is if he were to get shot. I saw that coming. I thought I was going to cry when he got up off the gourney to kiss his kids. What is with the little boy? He never even spoke to his dad, the little girl just melted my heart. And what is up with Vic wanting to retire? I also knew that when Vic and whatshisname were fighting, that when he found out that Vic was shot, he would come around and he did. Great episode. But I must admit, this is getting very twisted and hard to follow with who is duping whom and who the badguys and the goodguys are anymore.

Also I can't believe the nude shot of the girl on the bed when whatshisname pushed his partners out of the room to "rape the answer" out of her! Is he getting more and more like Vic every day or what! That is probably what Vic would have done if he were there. What is that guys name again? I get them so confused!

Hey CB - Vic's wife was actually back in the house before he got shot, but it did garner some sympathy with her. Mr. LG was actually guessing that she'd take off when she heard that Vic got shot because he didn't come straight home after she called him. He calls her the Ice Bitch. Vic's son Matthew has autism. Last season there was a plotline where Vic and Corrinn (sp?) find this out and somehow Vic has $30,000 / year to send Matthew to a special school, yet Corinn is unaware that he's a cop on the take. Don't all honest cops have an extra $30,000 sitting around?

Shane is the dark haired cop who looked like he was going to rape the perp's girlfriend for information. Yes, he is turning into Vic. Did you see the very first episode of the series last year? In that episode Vic killed a cop in his crew that Vic knew was planted there by internal affairs to get the goods on Vic. Shane was most upset by that and it looked like Aceveda might turn Shane to rat out Vic, but Vic kept Shane close and now he's becoming Vic. I just don't want Dutch to go "to the dark side" as his "true believer" attitude is such a foil to Vic's cynical / corrupt cop model. My favorite episode last season was where Dutch used his brain to stop a serial killer, and Vic was duly impressed.
