I downloaded the first two episodes from the internet. I was bored to tears and didn't even make it through either episode. Maybe you need to follow it from the first season to know the characters.

I like the show! Jennifer Beals and Pam Greier do an amazing job - actually, the entire cast does. I am a Queer as Folk fan and I was worried that The L Word was just going to be a lesbianized version of it when they premiered The L Word last year, but I was very happy to see that it had it's own style and vibe.

The first season dithered around a little, but the second season is starting off pretty good

I just started watching it - and watched last night. It's definitely an above average show, but I don't think it can touch Queer As Folk. All those women leads to too much conversation and not enough sex! Which makes us girls better at real life, but perhaps not as entertaining to watch on tv.

    *** BRIEF SPOILER MENTIONED***

    Its not a bad show.......
I caught Season 1 via DVD and I really got into the show........
Despite the ya know whats cuz I kinda lean MORE towards Showtimes other show QAF... its a ok
The ending really left ya on a cliff hanger wondering if its gonna be resolved or go into another direction w/ the characters..... Jennifer Beals rocks in this and sounds like her relationship w/ her GF looks like its no more...

If I've never seen it before, is it too late to start watching?

If you go to the show's website: http://www.sho.com/site/lword/home.do and read up on the past episodes (about a dozen or so) and the characters, you should be able to jump right in and not be lost.

The LWORD rules. I am truly a dedicated fan to the show. First season was much better than the second. But the second was okay. I will never say a bad thing about my girls. I love the show, and its filled with beautiful sexy women, some of my favorite things.
