And the scene where Pam says to Jim that she never bothers her fiance with "stuff like this" and he says something like, you mean your hopes and dreams? or fears and thoughts? or something like that, and she says Yeah. Great him resisting saying, why on earth not? what kind of relationship is that?
They are so great together... the actors do such a good job of showing how they light up around each other. Jim's never going to leave this job he hates while she's there...unless she gets married. Unless he feels he was too "out there" by saying he was the one who objected to the wedding planning, he's just going to lay a plan for a get away for after the wedding. I enjoy the rest of the show, but you could pretty much watch those shows in any order. The Pam/Jim thing is what has to be seen as it develops.

    AJane,

That is EXACTLY how I feel about "The Office", and, hence, one of the main ways that the show appeals to me . Kudos to the writers (and the actors), on all fronts! Episode after episode, I see/find slices of real life, especially in the workplace scenarios, through both the humor/comedy, and, then, the pathos that is presented, most vividly, towards the end of each segment.

    Greetings fellow Office Fans.
Just letting you all know that this week's episode is the season finale & it will be "super-sized" (so it will start at 9:20). The episode was written by Steve Carrell (aka the big boss) and is about a charity gambling event held in the warehouse at Dunder Mifflin.

Is Pam's wedding supposed to happen over the summer? Will we return in the fall with it either happened or not? Or will there be some action on that this week? Oooo the suspense!

That was a great episode. The storyline is VERY different from the British one now. This is going to be one difficult summer trying to figure out what is going to happen. I totally did not see the ending coming.

Or if you can't wait I'll spoiler the most exciting part but don't read if you can see the show...it'll be better w/o the spoiler
Jim tells Pam he loves her; she's totally taken aback, says I can't, I'm sorry you misinterpreted the friendship; he says he won't settle for just being her friend, wants more; then she's telling her mom about it on the phone, saying he's her best friend, and says, I think i do, in a way that could have been a response to mom asking if Pam loves him; then he comes in and kisses her and she kisses him back, and they stare at each other.

And all I can say is, wow.

Oh, yes... Wow, indeed!!! Very exciting, and well-acted (...is that a word?...LOL!) in a quiet, yet meaningful way, in my opinion.

There were many other great moments in this season ender ep. But, I had another set of favorite scenes on my own list (at the No. 2 position). I'll spoiler-tag my brief comments about it. So, don't read further if you're going to watch the show later (or eventually), and don't want to be "spoiled".

    Here goes:
That situation where hapless Michael ended up with two "dates" for the company's Casino Night - his boss and his realtor - was hilarious! Then, he employed Dwight as his "wingman", supposedly to keep the two women from crossing each other's paths...LOL! Even more hilarious and (also) very interesting is that his boss apparently thought that she might have a real date with Michael (including a sleepover?), while his realtor had a somewhat "Whatever"-like, laid-back attitude about it all, i.e., "...I guess we're on a first date...).

I have some questions about what I mentioned above, since I didn't see all of the eps that were pertinent to that storyline. But, I will save them for later. In the meantime, though, I give this show an "A", particularly for its season finale. Bravo!

The ending literally had me screaming "Oh my god" so loud that 1) I hope I didn't disturb the upstairs, and for that matter downstairs, apartments, and 2) mr. sleepy promptly covered my mouth after the first OMG. So I quieted my reaction down a bit, then re-watched the end. I can't wait until iTunes makes this available, which should be by tomorrow afternoon.
