She gets called in by the DA to partner with a detective who is trying to link a string of 4 murder suicides . As always the day before she had had a dream about the last murder , a third person had been in the room , but she saw it as a woman. Evryone else just saw them as murder suicides except the detective. The first set had been the detectives sister and brother in law.
He had been asking for a "task force" to be set up and the DA offered him Allison as a specialist. She visited the crime scene and when left alone saw the woman again , only the woman explained she was just speaking for them and than loved each other. Allison went over the pictures from the other crime scenes came back and said the man was always shot first then the woman and at one crime there were four people. The detective told her she was fiull of it , then it was revealed she was a psychic. He really went ballistic.
After they left a guy came in and told a story about a guy who came and told a story about someone who came in a tried to force him to kill his wife . Or he would be killed. They linked it all up to the wedding photographer. They broke into the studio and found all these pictures of the dead people . Allison knew he was out doing it again , and picked a file out of a pile. The detective came in and saved the girl .
He saif he knew Allison was telling the truth when she was talking about the fourth person at the scrime scene. His sister had been pregnant.

Thanks for posting the summary Eny!

I'm a little disappointed in the last two episodes being a little gristly...Trying to keep up with the times I suppose, but c'mon people, we were liking it when more was left to our imagination!

Anyway, good episode, I enjoyed it. Next week is the one where the daughter has the psychic experiences.

Actually I have been enjoying every episode so far I like how everything comes together in the end.... and I love the chemistry between Allison and Joe...they have a great relationship, and he's very supportive.....it is a bit grisly, but if they didn't show anything at all, it would be a bit boring.

    Interesting show.

I am really enjoying this series and am disappointed I missed it last night (I just completely forgot it was on and didn't think to tape it while I was out). But thanks, Eny, for the summary--it sounds so good, it only makes me want to watch the episode even more. I don't mind grisly stuff--Psycho and Silence of the Lambs were my favorite movies when I was young.

Patricia Arquette is fantastic, I like the way this show doesn't glamorize or romanticize the psychic aspect. It shows the way she, as a regular woman, struggles to find a happy medium (no pun intended) between her extraordinary "gift" and the mundane, diurnal porblems every wife and mother must face.

Funny you should mention that. I was actually in Texas when we watched that episode and my friends and family there were all so insulted by the way they showed the Rangers. They kept shaking their heads and clucking about how they would never have that many Rangers out on one job, and how the "negative" portrayal was part of some political/Liberal Hollywood plot (for the record I'm "blue" and they're all, for the most part, decidedly "red"). I love my Texan relatives but IMHO they took the whole thing WAY...TOO...SERIOUSLY.

    Interesting show.
It's my favorite show now too! Pretty witty and I think quite believeable as well. Loved how she pulled the suitcase out from under the bed Just wondering since I missed the first few minutes of her dream- who exactly was the ghost lady who was talking to her at the crime scene?
Allison DuBois lives here in Phoenix and on a tv interview it said she charges about $250 a session!

One of the things that bothered me with last night's show was that I had it figured out pretty early on. When she woke up from her dream with the pictures, I immediately thought photographer. Then when they went into the second crime scene and the same type of wedding photo was on the wall, and it was obviously the same photographer I had it nailed then. They need to work on the show not being to *obvious* I guess- (no other word comes to mind)

We caught on to the photographs early too, but probably because it's been used in Law & Order about a gazillion times. Even though I knew what the dreams were trying to point out to her, I thought the night she dreamed only in black&white photos was clever.

I get creeped out if I think about psychic stuff too much.

    I love this show!

I thought it was great when she let her husband believe that he had finally tricked her about her birthday and then pulls the already packed suitcase out from under the bed.

I thought it was a little too obvious about the killer as well. When they were at the 2nd crime scene and the detective pointed at the picture and said "I like those." It was like drawing a big arrow saying "Clue to killer here!" After obsessing over the 4 cases, you'd think he would have noticed the link between them.

Especially since the photographs were so unique that it catches the eyes pretty quickly. One thing I was confused about though- did the husbands kill themselves after they were ordered to shoot their wives, or did the photographer kill the men?
