Gotta add my stream of consciousness list

    Underrated -
Callum Keith Rennie - love him, hard to see him, but the few leads made me fall fully for the film. (see - for those who hunt the wounded down, and of course - last seasons of Due South)
Agree with serious Robin Williams, Fisher King is a fav
    Jeff Bridges
    Steve Buscemi
    Toni Collette
    Adam Beach
    Wes Studi
    Chow Yun fat
Christain Bale - always loved him.

    Overrated -
BAsically all the top players in hollywood Don't see why Lindssey Lohan/Julia Roberts/REnee Zellweger/Diaz get such big paychecks, same goes to the guys - Colin FArrel, Tom Cruise especially, ben afflecks career is in embers and should go out soon. Only it list person that has talent is Johnny Depp, and every other actor admits Johnny is the real deal, the virtuoso and prodigy in the field.

    Christopher Lloyd is very under-rated.

    Most under-rated on television, IMO:

Ice T, Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni from Law and Order SVU
Jason Wiles, Molly Price and Skip Sudduth from Third Watch
Janel Maloney and Bradley Whitford from West Wing (Martin Sheen has just started going totally over the top for me lately)
Maura Tierney, Noah Wyle and Laura Innes from ER

These are great actors/actresses that you almost never see nominated for Emmy's, Golden Globes or anything. And I agree with others that Ron Eldard and William H. Macy are also fantastic. Door To Door was the best thing I have ever seen William H. Macy do, although he was also great in Fargo.

Out of all of the above, Ice T and Jason Wiles are just incredible. How do they keep getting ignored?
I enjoy the escapism of reality television. Beats the heck out of worrying about your REAL life!!

I agree about Noah Wyle. He's always been one of my favorites in ER.

I really enjoyed him last week in The Librarian, which I am hoping is the first of a series. It was a Raiders of the Lost Ark clone, but was exciting, well-acted, and very funny.

I think William H. Macy and Ed Harris are both outstanding, though I suppose they are more big screen than TV now.

Kevin Bacon is also one of my under-rated choices.

Off the top of my head, Topher Grace from That 70s Show. His character is all reactionary to other characters, which is incredibly difficult to do. His timing is always impeccable.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

I love Phillip Seymour-Hoffman, he's so funny in everything he does (or disturbing... whichever fits his character.... :-))

Chris Noth (can't believe he never got his own picture in the Sex & The City intro ... he was practically a regular!)

    Stephen Eckholdt (he's adoreable...I wish he'd get more "grade A" stuff ... :-))

    Overrated:
Vin Diesel (I don't get it .....) & Hillary Duff (I definitely don't get that one ......) and Ashton Kutcher ...

    Overrated:
Vin Diesel (cannot act his way out of a paper bag - an ugly Arnold)
Ben Affleck (blah to the max)
Gwyneth Paltrow (at the top because of mom and dad)
    Julia Roberts (one dimensional usually)
    Jennifer Lopez (another non-acting actress)
Mel Gibson (better at making movies than acting in them)
Brad Pitt (absolutely adorable, but talentless)
Melanie Griffith (her babydoll character is getting old and tired)

    Underrated:
Jim Caviezel (an actor who can actually act)
Heather Locklear (she is the quintessential "bitch" and very very good at it)
Matt Damon (a much better actor than his buddy with less press)
Dominic Purcell (a new actor to the U.S. in "John Doe" - hope he's given more roles)
Terry O'Quinn (Locke from Lost and always good in every role)

IMO Heather Locklear has zero comedic timing. She might be better in dramatic roles but her comedy seems forced and unnatural.
