The scandal has hit the airways and impossible to avoid. I really dont think she will have a celebrity guest as the last show. It has to be something to punctuate her life on this show.

You're kidding right? Oprah talks about what Oprah wants to talk about. It matters not what's all over the airwaves or tabloids or headlines. If Ms. W wants to talk about Maria's life as a Kennedy or Maria's Women's Conference or Maria's journalism career or Maria's latest manicure, that's what they'll talk about and not about that fool she's finally separated from.

I read that Maria is in Chicago to tape an interview with Gayle for one of the two surprise shows. Oprah, Gayle and Maria have all been friends since they worked together in Baltimore so I think they'd talk about Oprah's early years.

Is anyone else bored with the two-part interview with the author, and confused as to why this should still be such a big issue for her as to rate a two-parter in the last segment of shows? I think the only person who is really interested in this is her, so why doesn't she just call him on the phone or invite him to her hosue and talk about it to her heart's content? There are so many other more interesting guests and subjects that she could be covering now that the shows have dwindled down to a precious few left.

I loved the interview.It was very cool to hear that she called him( more then once) to see how he was. On her message boards there was a discussion about having him back.I have read his second book, I wanted to hear what he had to say. I wasn't bored.Maybe we didnt need two hours, but put in the commercials,and it really didnt seem that long to me.

Maria WAS there but only in paying tribute to Oprah...she was one of many many celebrity guests last night. She looked great and held herself together very well!

I'm confused. I read that Maria found out about the child in a 15 minute phone call that she got while having dinner with Oprah, Gayle and Steadman. I thought she had separated from Arnold back in January of this year.

I think there is as well.I sometimes wonder why we even need to know. They dont want to know about our lives, maybe we invest too much time with theirs.

This is the one piece of information that is missing. I didn't hear this and I think it would have been repeated in every show coving celeb gossip.

So the big question is how did Maria find out and from whom? Why now after all these years?
