    Re: Oprah

I was hoping it would be John Travolta, his wife, daughter and baby. Now that would be great.

Will Smith is mildly amusing in movies. I can't tolerate his wife and what they have done with the children is dangerous IMO. (I see no reason to rob your kids of a childhood by making them stars while there's kids. It's their children, but my take on it.) I have ZERO interest to see them and doubt I will watch more than the last 30 seconds of the show. Bad call Oprah.

On Gayle's show this morning, she said that unless things had changed THIS morning, that she knew that Will and Jada were not the guests for Oprah's last show. She said she had gotten several calls about that, too.

Do you think her last show would be a celebrity guest? Seems like an odd way to end it.

No, I dont . I am sure she has had something in her mind since she said this season was finished.

As of this morning, per Gayle, they still had not decided who it will be yet.

    Re: Oprah

Well that's good news. I hope you're right! I can't imagine why those two would even be in the last 100 episodes. They're both vapid, self-involved nitwits.....can you tell I'm not a fan? Sorry, anything with Travolta would be as bad as Will Smith, imo. I stopped being a Travolta fan many years ago, but I lost all respect over how they "raised" their autistic son.

I always imagined that Oprah's final show wouldn't really have guests, other than the people who have stuck with her and worked for her all these years. The best final show ever was Johnny Carson's and, imo, no one will ever top it. I haven't watched Oprah regularly in years, but I've tuned in, on and off, over the last few weeks. I expected it to be brown-nosy (on the part of celebs) and self-indulgent (on Oprah's part) and yeah, I haven't been disappointed. I know lots of people still love her, but I'm sort of over it.
