Andrew has had his share of scandals in his life already. Back when Charles and Diana got married, he fit the playboy role of the second son who doesn't have to be king, very much like Prince Harry is now. At one point, he was even rumored to be dating a porn star. There had been rumors and speculation for a long time before he got married that Prince Edward, the queen's youngest son, was gay. He worked in and was very active in theater, so I think that stereotypes led to a lot of those rumors.

Yes. All of this may have pressured him to marry. Doesn't matter. Just a hunch I had before I heard any of this.

Whoa!!! All of this makes a lot of sense. Most interesting.

I was blown away when Fergie said that he carried a photo of her in his pocket when he attended Prince William's recent wedding. I guess so she was there in a sense. How sentimental is that? How sweet? How odd? I'm not sure what to say about it.

Ya, that was weird. Why would he do that? She was probably so distraught at herself as she realizes it was her actions (scandal) that was probably the biggest reason she is persona non grata in the eyes of the Queen and hence no invite to Diana's first born son's wedding, the son who will be KING. She remininsced w/Oprah over the fact she was the last one to walk down that aisle as a bride and she wanted to be there with her daughters. Ya, I am so guessing she was very very upset and maybe Andrew thought if he slipped a pic of her in his back pocket, she could feel as though she was there……very sad.

    Re: Oprah

Part of me wondered if she was being truthful when she shared that. It seemed very pre-meditated to me. There were a few things in that interview that seemed to me like Sarah came on with an agenda to get things out there, and knew Oprah would not go along with it if she knew ahead of time. They seemed like akward moments to me. The first was at the beginning when Sarah said her daughters said hello to Oprah, and then she went on to say that Beatrice wanted Oprah to know she was auctioning off her hat from the wedding on e-bay. It seemed like she wanted to plug that, and Oprah was not looking for Sarah to plug anything but her OWN show. Then, because of the way Sarah led into the story about the picture saying "it's a secret ... I'm just telling you ... and millions of people" it seemed like Sarah wanted the world to know about the picture to boost herself up. Maybe Andrew really did it, and meant for it to be a private thing between them. Or maybe he didn't, and Sarah made it up to boost herself up. Because we always hear from Sarah that they are so close still, and don't really hear anything from Andrew, I've always wondered if they really are that close, or if Sarah promotes that idea to save face.

About the picture in the pocket, I didn't think it was weird. I thought it was thoughful, and it is something that I can see somebody doing. Sometimes, when you need a boost, I think it's OK to give yourself a boost.

What she should have done was stop her daughter, Beatrice, from wearing a hat that looked like horns on her head. Between the hat and the eye makeup, she looked like the maenad from True Blood.

I heard that yesterday, and was hoping it was only a false rumor. I'm so dissapointed. When Oprah said the show would sum up her entire 25 years on the show, I was sure it would be her hosting a look back, or Gayle interviewing her, or something else really good and different. It seems like Oprah has had bigger names as guests in her last month on the air than she will for the final day. Maybe it's just summing up the next step in her career. OWN seems to be a bust right now, so maybe she wants the last show to be a big letdown just like her network has been.
