I finally got to see the infamous abortion episode. I have to say that it was not any more or less controversial than any of the episodes they actually showed in the US. It was nice to see the missing storyline, so that we could finally get a proper flow.

It really wasn't Kimrs, but of course someone had to make it a big deal. Otherwise, what kind of episode would it be?

It's crazy to think that all of that build up for the forbidden episode occured for such a relatively small issue. The word abortion is barely mentioned and they don't get graphic about any of the procedure. So compared to date rape, cutting, alcholism, pregnancy, porn etc. we could have seen this episode when it originally aired. But abortion is such a dirty word-God forbid it be on a cable show!

I finally got to see the Season Premiere today with the return of Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes. I have to say I was a little disappointed with the entire episode as a whole. For an entire hour, it sure felt like a let-down. The Alex/Paige relationship seems forced to me. I don't really see them as a couple, especially because Alex has turned into such a needy character. She was more fun to watch when I loved to hate her! I was glad to see Jay get some screen time, he is one of the more entertaining characters. And you can't go wrong with Kevin and Jason, who had waaay too little to do in this episode. Overall, I loved the Snake-Emma-Spike-Hot Sauce-Peter storyline so much more! I would have loved to see more fallout, what did Emma and Peter do after they found out. Did Peter ever have it out with his mom? IMO that should have been the leading story for this ep.

I have not been as excited so far this season, but I am hoping that this week's ep, about eating disorders will be interesting. I like when they have Emma/Spike/Snake on!

I agree that so far this season has been somewhat of a letdown, so much so, that I haven't been motivated to post about the show. I had such high hopes. Hopefully things will pick up as the season progresses.

The season does pick up, but I felt it wasn't until the last couple episodes. Overall, the season wasn't as good as previous ones. I'm curious what they'll do next year with the seniors who have graduated.

I know, they really haven't brought on many new Juniors this year. I believe that we will have Manny, Emma, Peter, Darcy, Spinner, Toby, JT and Liberty as the core group if they have another season.

For next season they're gonna follow the kids who have graduated into university as well as follow the ones still in high school, which is something no Degrassi show has doen before. Thank the Lord because all my fave charecters except Manny graduated so I would've be really angry. I saw them filming the new season at University Of Toronto a couple days ago.
