| Favourite British shows? I love reading about the US shows here on FORT. I'm especially looking forward to seeing "Lost" when it arrives here in Britain. Most of the non British shows we see are from the US or Australia. We love the Aussie soaps here, the US ones just seem very OTT to us Brits. Do any fellow FORT fans in the US or Canada have any favourite British shows you like, or indeed do you get many British shows at all? ![]() |

| I live in Canada. I watch Coronation Street. I really like Coupling although I've only seen the first 2 series'. It plays on the public television station in Buffalo. I like a lot of the older comedies; Absolutely Fabulous, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers. |

| Aside from Benny Hill, I am a huuuuge Young Ones fan. They showed a couple of seasons on late night MTV about 15-20 years ago, which thankfully my brothers taped. I also prefer the UK version of Who's Line Is It Anyway.

| We have a BBC channel here (NY). I love 'Chef' and 'keeping up appearances'. And the romantic comedy with Judy Dench. And the New Zealand (I think) show 'The Tribe'.

| I like Coupling. I love Are You Being Served (so old, I know). I tried to get into Spooks (or MI5 as they called it here) but it did not interest me. I also like Bargain Hunt. I wish they'd show British quiz shows/comedy shows like Room 101 or Have I Got News for You or Countdown here but they don't - I guess they think they are too topical or whatever. I like the real-life shows they show a lot in Britain. Right now they are showing one on BBC Canada called Dream Life (or something like that) about British people giving up their old life for a new life - last night 2 couples sold their home in Essex to open up a B & B in Spain.

| As Time Goes By, Chef, Are You Being Served, Fawlty Towers, To the Manor Born, EastEnders, Keeping Up Appearances I don't get The Office on my cable, but have it in my Blockbusters queue to rent. Nor do I receive Coronation Street, which I'd watch if I could. |
