| Great to see that the Buffy/Angel love keeps growing even after the shows ended. I'm pretty sure I read through all of the posts, and no one seemed to mention Firefly. It was Joss Whedon's third television series. He was working on it during season 7 Buffy/season 4 Angel. Basically, I would describe it as the very, very, very strange place were sci-fi meets western, but it was much better than that brief description could express. To make a long (and very sad) story short, the [insert your own adjective here] execs at [insert network name here], ahem, messed up, some things in the timing of the show (never airing on the same night, or time, preempting right and left), and only 11 episodes aired before it was canceled. All 14 episodes are available in a box set (reasonably priced, I might add), and the movie Serenity is currently scheduled to come out in Sept. 2005. If you are missing the Buffy/Angel television experience, I strongly recommend going out at finding Firefly on DVD. No words can express how strong those 14 episodes are, and even if you never thought you would like sci-fi, or westerns, this series may surprise you. Geez. Just re-read my post. Sounds like a commercial -- just to be clear, no one at Mutant Enemy is paying me any amount of money whatsoever -- I just love the show.

| I never watched Firefly. I never thought I'd like it. Guess I should have given it a chance? I read today that Joss has been picked to direct Woman Woman. |

| Unaired (original) Pilot Episode of Buffy Has anyone else seen the unaired pilot? I just found the original (and previously unaired) pilot for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and it was, for Buffy fans, fascinating! I've always wondered about the original Willow (there was a different actress in the part for the pilot they showed to networks). It was amazing, and the only unaired episode I hadn't seen! |

| Where did you find the unaired pilot? If it is now being aired, tell us when/where! We loved Firefly too, and were so sad it was cancelled. But Buffy is the best! |

I loved Buffy, too! I just watched "Once More with Feeling" tonight. One of my top 5 episodes..ever. I read something in a magazine that it was on-line, and I just typed "unaired Buffy Pilot" into a search browser and found it. Let me know what you think! | |

| I watched the unaired pilot a few years ago, and all I remember is being stunned at how different it was. Definitely the original Willow was just weird to see, because as far as I'm concerned, Ally Hannigan really made that role. You know, I might watch it again to refresh my memory so we can discuss it. I miss "Buffy" (and, like Harvest, "Firefly" too). I just read someplace that before it takes its final bow in September, the WB will be showing pilots of its most popular shows, among them "Buffy." But I don't know if for "Buffy" they will be showing the unaired pilot or the two-hour ep they used to kick off the series, and sorry I don't have link to an online article (I read it in Wizard magazine). Does anyone else know?

| Snowflake - the WB will be airing the pilots on September 17. Felicity, Angel, the 2 hour Buffy & then Dawson's Creek. I never watched Angel myself, or Firefly, but I was a diehard Buffy fan. I never really loved Angel himself all that much; I liked him with Buffy but I didn't like the character enough to follow him to his own show.

| Yea! People talking about Buffy again. I was also surprised, Bearcata, how much of an impact one actress/actor can have on an entire show. The episode felt entirely different without Aly as Willow. Willow brought so much more to the part, it was obvious in even the first aired episode. She made the part her own. Snowflakegirl...where did you first watch it? On line also? I wasn't even aware that it was out there. Anyhow, watch it again so we can talk about it more! I watched Angel too, but always perferred Buffy. Although nothing was as funny as the last Angel season when Angel and Spike interacted. |
