Goldbloom quit - not sure about Saffron Burrow, if she quit or not, but the show was dismal at best - they decided to bring back Eames and Goren and keep trying. Good decision, but it's hard to say if L&A CI's audience will return. Too bad they killed off the Captain - would've been nice to have him back too. It airs on a channel I don't get - unless one of my local channel decides to run it.

On September 22, 2010, Variety announced that Criminal Intent had been renewed for its final season on USA Network. Original cast members Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe will return to the series as Detectives Robert Goren and Alexandra Eames, respectively. Joining them is Jay O. Sanders as Captain William Hannah. The tenth and final season will premiere on Sunday May 1, 2011 at 9/8c.

OH, great. Thanks. But according to D'Onofrio, they may do more episodes! He says he was done with the role, but he admires and respects the writer and when he asked him to come back he had to say yes.

Vincent has a new movie out. I'll have to locate it. I love his acting.

More episodes after this season?? this is supposed to be CI's final season - and it will be with Eames and Goren - I'm confused.

The movie Vincent is in looks great! It's called Kill the Irishman. It's based on the true story of one mafia trying to kill the head of another. There were about 60 bombings in the city involved in trying to kill this guy! Here's a trailer. Some big names in the movie.

I love the new pairings.
I think the show just has a better rhythm right now.
I love Skeet Ulrich, but he really was not right for the role.

I'll totally be back! Ive watched every L&O series (including the original until McCoy was no longer the head ADA and it got wacky) and CI is my absolute favorite. I love Vincent's character and his acting--I could watch a show with just him.

I cant wait!

Me too! As far as how many episodes, I don't know, but I know it's true because I saw Vincent say it on Morning Joe the other morning. He basically said that he admires the writer so much, that he will do whatever he says. He says they have done some, but there may be more in the works. It's up the writer!

I only watched it because of Ulrich...won't be likely to watch in the future unless there's some hint that they will get his killer. I did agree that something seemed a little off in his last episode...but put it down to him knowing he was fired...and I guess the actresses that played his wife and daughter are out as well. Collateral damage as it were. Before that I thought he seemed fine, that the show was having "settling in" issues, but making progress.
Wish the show had been a little clearer that Fernando's family would still get Witness Protection!
Not that I thought the diplomatic manoevering was realistic at all...really, Mexican consulates harbor drug kingpin cop killers on the run? The PR alone would make that unlikely no matter the bribing. OK, yes, the Soviet bloc used to do that (harbor criminals who had been doing espionage), but they were not supposed to be our allies. On the other hand countries do not just hand over citizens as parts of deals in that fashion...

I watched the two hour block and I don't think I'll watch again. I cannot, absolutely, no how stand Terrance Howard. I cannot get past his personal life quirks.

It was pretty clear to see where the tweaks were made and the overall tone shift from the first half of the two hour block compared to the rest. I just hope Skeet Ulrich finds something soon!
