Anyone remember when Jerry Orbach's series begins? I miss Lenny Briscoe terribly.

I think I read it begins sometime in '05. And I can't wait!

I didn't really like Angie Harmon (she was just okay).

    My fave castmembers are/were:

Jerry Orbach (sadly missed on the show)
    Chris Noth

Michael Moriarty & Sam Waterson ( I like them both )
Claire Kincaid (or Dr Jordan Cavanagh, as she is now known )

I've seen old episodes probably dozens of times each but they never lose their appeal to me. I like SVU but some of the more graphic cases can be a bit much (murder over rape, who knew?). I like Criminal Intent, but then I like Vincent D'Onofrio. If you don't like him you are out of luck with CI.

BelfastGirl: I was in Ireland once and they were playing a Law and Order episode on one of the British channels. And the theme tune was different from the one we have here. It was so disconcerting.

Some familiar faces ie Jamie Ross & Arthur Branch. Cool. Candice Bergen will be good methinks. Bebe Neuwirth & John Mahoney? I think I'd keep wondering where Frasier was.

I can't wait for this series either. I've been a fan of Jerry Orbach since I used to see him in Broadway musicals.

Anyone remember that he was the original Billy Flynn in the first production of "Chicago" in 1975.

    The original has gone downhill in the last few seasons, I think it's boring and I can't stand Serena and Arthur, hopefully it'll pick up now Serena is leaving. CI is great but SVU is by far my favorite, I love how well the team work, especially Benson and Stabler. Anway, here's some L&O news;
Noth Back on 'Law & Order' Beat

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Detective Mike Logan may soon be ending his exile on Staten Island.

Chris Noth, who played Logan on the first five seasons of "Law & Order," is set to reprise the role on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" later this season. Noth's episode is set for January, Broadcasting & Cable magazine reports.

News of Noth's guest spot has also led to some speculation that NBC and "L&O" producers are considering him as a potential replacement for "Criminal Intent" star Vincent D'Onofrio, who has suffered two fainting spells recently, the second of which stopped production on the show for a few days.

D'Onofrio passed out on the set of the show Nov. 11, reportedly while rehearsing a strenuous scene. He fainted again at home a week later; both times he was hospitalized for tests. Some accounts have also reported tensions on the "Criminal Intent" set.

NBC acknowledges that Noth will make a guest appearance on the show but says no cast changes are in the works, the magazine reports.

Noth left "Law & Order" after the 1994-95 season; his character was sent to Staten Island after punching a corrupt city politician. He has reprised Logan once before, in the NBC movie "Exiled."

Lately, Noth is best known for playing Mr. Big on "Sex and the City." Other recent credits include the miniseries "Caesar" and the movie "Bad Apple," both for TNT, and the feature "Mr. 3000."

I, for one, would LOVE to see Chris Noth back in the L&O family.

I also can't stand Serena. Arthur is okay, but no one can replace the original (whose name fails me now). I read that Serena's replacement is someone who used to be on a soap (As the World Turns...she played Julia).

Didn't Amy Carlson play the blonde firefighter that got cut in half on Third Watch two seasons ago?
I enjoy the escapism of reality television. Beats the heck out of worrying about your REAL life!!
