I'm not sure about Bogosian as Captain either. But I found Green a little meh at first and he grew on me. My friend came over about 15 minutes before Criminal Intent ended and I got distracted (ahem) . What happened? I got up to the point where they'd arrested Dexter (? the mentor) and were questioning him. Then what?

The killer was Declan the mentor's daughter. She was doing it to get her Dad's attention. She had taken Eames, who eventually broke loose and alerted a passerby from the basement window. Goren figured it out, and was talking to the daughter outside the interrogation room while her Dad was being questioned in there, and of course she broke down and told the whole story.

Thanks Radar. If I'd thought about it for two seconds I would have seen that coming. They wouldn't have Martha Plimpton in for just a walk-on. Although it sounds like a pretty unlikely ending, I guess if anyone could pull it off, she could.
Speaking of Martha Plimpton, does anyone else find it a little odd how they reuse actors in L and O? Plimpton was on years ago, I'm pretty sure Bogosian has been on as another character, and the sometime defence attorney (married to Cyndi Lauper in real-life), having a brain fart and can't remember his name, was on before.

I saw Special Victims last night and have three thoughts.
Jerry Lewis can be very good. Who knew? Well, I have seen King of Comedy so I should have had an inkling, but Martin and Lewis just annoyed me so much every time I see him doing proper acting I'm really impressed.
The guy who plays Munch, while I like him very much and suspect he's probably very bright and entertaining in real life, cannot act his way out of a paper bag. He can only really do enuii and cynicism. Still like the character though.
Special Victims is getting WAY too disturbing. They did not need to show repeated photos of the fictional victims, and they didn't even have to have such a gruesome storyline. I suppose I just shouldn't watch it, and I will stop watching any episode which has child victims. They seem to be totally pushing the envelope lately and where they used to provide little or no detail about the actual circumstance of the crime, now they feel they must go into detail about the number of stab wounds, the length of time the victims took to die etc. It's pornographic and I don't think it's at all necessary. And last night's storyline in and of itself (without the details) was just nasty. I enjoyed the Lewis part, but it could have been attached to a much less nasty victim scenario. I worry episodes like this will give people ideas.

Oh honey, they don't need ideas. Usually Law & Order shows get their ideas from real events. SVU is disturbing, but it always has been. It's not a recent phenomenon. I don't even think that last night was the worst. I love Benson & Stabler but sometimes the storyline is too much for me and I have to change to something else. I agree that Jerry Lewis was very good, and I didn't even recognize him at first! I don't like the new girl, why is she there? Is Mariska Hargitay on maternity leave or something? If she is, I can't wait for her to pop that baby out and get back to entertaining me!

Good point about them using real life. I just think it's over the top sometimes. I like the acting so much, and the investigation part, but just do not need that other stuff in my head. I believe Mariska Hargitay is on mat leave. New woman's okay, although, and I don't mean to be prejudice against people blessed with incredible good looks or anything, but couldn't they find someone a little less perfect looking? Mariska is beautiful, but in a real people way. That's one reason I love Kathryn Erbe so much, she's regular folk. Also Sharon Small (who looks a lot like K.E.) who plays the Sargeant in Inspector Lyndley.

I found last night show about the escaped murderer very well done. I don't know if could stop myself from killing the man after he shot all those children in the classroom.

Jerry Lewis was so good I didn't didn't recognize him at all until he was "cleaned up."

Re: Law and Order
Did anyone watch L&O: SVU last night.
I missed it and only saw the last few minutes.
The show involved Benson and her brother. Wondering if he really did rape those women. I couldn't tell with what little I saw what happened.
