The fifth season concludes with kidnappers snatching a publishing mogul’s son when his is escorted from prison to court. A member of the CSI team is killed during the ambush and another is seriously wounded.

It's on at 10pm.

who was seriously injured? Or was that at the end so we're not supposed to know until the fall when they have the season premiere? Kind of sad that Jess had to die and my heart broke when Flack broke into tears telling Danny at the hospital. Gosh, I'm crying just remembering it. I found myself yelling at Flack when he had the gun trained on the shooter. I don't think the guy would've been able to reach the gun given the condition he was in so I kept thinking "Don't do it, Flack." But then I also felt like he had to do it. It was the only way he could feel that Jess didn't die in vain. Great acting tonight. He was brilliant.

But if they used actual footage for one, it wouldnt suprise me if the other was authentic too.

I'd rather they take it 30 seconds further and show the bloodbath inside, I feel like we're going to get everyone getting up and asking if everyone's okay rather than anyone being hit by any of those bullets

Especially since we've already seen the one officer down in the season ender. Not that I want to see any of them die, of course, but give us a little bit more suspense to carry us through the summer.

Hope they play reruns over the summer, though, because we took a hiatus from CSI:NY to watch Life on Mars, knowing for certain THAT would not be picked up. (Limited shelf life...)
