| What's gonna happen??? I hope she's okay and gets better soon. http://www.vh1.com/movies/news/artic...05/story.jhtml Jennifer Garner's Injury Now Said To Be Nerve Damage 'Alias' actress had originally been diagnosed with a viral infection. by Corey Moss Jennifer Garner as Elektra (Doane Gregory/Twentieth Century Fox) An ailing Jennifer Garner has a new diagnosis. The actresses' spokesperson, Nicole King, said earlier this week that Garner was sick with a viral infection, but she told "Entertainment Tonight" on Thursday that the "Alias" star is actually suffering from nerve damage to her back. King did not return calls Friday (January 7). King also originally said Garner might miss Saturday's premiere of "Elektra" in Las Vegas (see "Jennifer Garner Suffering From Viral Infection, Could Miss 'Elektra' Premiere"), but the actress has since confirmed her attendance. Plans for junket interviews on Sunday, however, have been scrapped. The severity of the nerve damage has not been revealed, but Garner's doctors attribute the ailment to an injury suffered during the shooting of an "Alias" episode. It is unknown how the injury will affect the show. Garner's illness comes at an inconvenient time for the actress, who has had to cancel several promotional appearances for "Elektra," which opens January 14, and "Alias," which kicked off its fourth season on Wednesday. The actress is also nominated for a Golden Globe, and King said Garner is still scheduled to attend the January 16 ceremony, where she is nominated for Best Actress in a TV Drama. Garner is reportedly recovering at her Los Angeles home. This report is from MTV News.

| I enjoyed the premiere. I get the feling that a lot of stuff was quickly wrapped up because this was such a pivotal episode and time for Alias. Because of all the PR around it, the new time slot with Lost as a lead-in, the hope was probably to reach a bigger, general audience who could understand things having not seen other episodes. |

| I'm not giving up yet, and I wasn't horribly offended by the premiere. I've watched Alias since day 1, and stuck it out all through season 3. Jen Garner rocks. I remember before the premiere when I went looking for pictures of her - I could find one or two ABC promo photos. Now it's totally different. | |

| I am a newcomer to the Alias shows..but have recently become highly addicted...I watched all 66 episodes in one month leading up to this premiere. While it was different...I will be watching this season and have to say that I am glad they are going back more the format in Season One.. One question for those long timers: any word on if they are going to wrap up the Rimbaldi storyline - ie. Nadia and Sloane going after the location. Did I miss something in the season premiere bout that? |

| I edite this because this is a resonse to annimal...I forgot to quote. No, I hope they leave it alone or say it was all a dream or something, b/c Sloane got totally consumed by it and creeped me out even more. The only thing they went into with Nadia and Sloane was that Nadia didn't really want to work with Sloane, but would b/c of Syd. Glad to have another ALIAS watcher!

Welcome, fellow ALIAS watcher. Wow...66 episodes in 1 month. I have been watching from the beginning, and I really enjoy the Rambaldi storyline. I am not sure if they're dismissing that whole plot line, but I am pretty sure that the season premiere had no mention of Rambaldi.

| 66 episodes in a month??? yikes... Alias overload!! But welcome! They mentioned Rimbaldi I think, but in a sort of dismissive way, kind of been there, done that, as if it were all over. |

| Sloane explained to Sydney that he and Nadia found the Rimbaldi thing they were looking for, but then gave it to the US government. Sydney then commented something about how Sloane used the device as leverage for getting himself the new job. Knowing J.J. Abrams, the next big Rimbaldi thing will probably pop up later in the season and then become an afterthought by the next. Remember the big thing Irina was trying to build and the countless other Rimbaldi discoveries that are now in storage somewhere, never to be heard from again? |
