could it be [[Vaughn's father come back from the dead? Didn't Irina supposedly kill him?]]

I wanted to mention this before...

I know the actress that played Irina was written out, because she was asking for too much money. I was disappointed, but figured she would come around eventually and be back. The next thing I heard about her was that she hired a (gorgeous) hit man to kill Syd and Jack killed Irina to prevent that.

I know I missed a lot, but this doesn't make sense. I was sure that Irina cared about Syd. She had plenty of chances to kill her, if she wanted her dead. I guess it was all a dream.

No spoilers here, just a question:
I'm a bit confused, Syd is mad at Jack for killing Irina, but he did that when he found out Irina put a contract out for Syd...well, I guess I can kind of understand some of the anger...I hope JJ gives a little more info to this one.

I just really don't get the anger either. Her mother SHOT her, and repeatedly tried to kill her or have her killed. Having your father take her out isn't such a bad idea, if you ask me.

When Irina was first introduced to the series, she shot Syd in the shoulder so that her fellow bad guys would believe she care nothing for her and then left the room providing the opportunity Syd needed to escape. The last thing I remember Irina saying to Syd was something like "Things aren't always as they seem." I thought Irina genuinely loved Sydney, but her obsession with Rombaldi came first.

The anger Sydney felt came before she found out why Jack had killed Irina... she just knew that he had. Once the hit man told her that Irina had taken a contract out on her, she seemed to understand and forgive Jack. The next difficulty came with how he was going to explain it to Nadia, if at all.

I understand that your mother is your mother, attempted hits or not, and that Sydney will always feel something towards her... but I, too, was befuddled by the shock of discovery that Sydney had. She should have come to expect it by that point.

Tigergirl... I like your theory. It might also explain why they say [[that Vaughn is going to get a little more *dark* this season... and it might also be a good way of killing him off at some point. Perhaps his dad went bad?]]

maybe Syd was mad at Jack because she wanted Irina's input on why she did it with Sloane and why Nadia was never spoken about. I'd want more closure on that issue. Maybe she just wants a reason to be mad at Jack....some women just want to be mad at something all the time. (and I'm female, so don't jump down my back.)

Has anyone noticed something off about JG's lips lately? In the past, I always thought they were one of her best features - and she has lots of good features. During the last episode, it looked like she was having trouble saying her lines at times, and she could no longer do her little half-smiles and other expressions. She looked similarly "different" at the Golden Globes. I'm not an expert at spotting these things, but I definitely think she had a little enhancement done and it is not going well.
