I don't think it will be "the purgatory thing" that would kill a season 2.

I'm really liking Locke. He has such a twinkle in his eye and an assurance about him. I thought his comment about looking into the eye of the island was interesting.

The lid was closed, but it didn't appear sealed to me.

Thanks Qboots. This is a little thing, but why couldn't Walt's dad just tell him the water would make him thirsty because it had salt in it? He was awfully harsh. I'm going to have to pick up that tv guide. Or at least read it in the store.

Speculation, but I dont think any airline today would give in to a pass. requests no matter how much they cry. Maybe he had the body taken back to the funeral home and was gonna try to pass the coffin off as having dear old dad in it anyway back in LA. He opened it anxiously when he found it because of seeing his dad mysteriously in the forest and began to question everything, even knowing the coffin was empty anyway... Just my thoughts..

My thoughts exactly. Kids ask a lot of hard questions, like "why is the sky blue?" But that was a pretty easy question. I guess they're just trying to make the point that this whole "Dad" thing is new to Michael.

I don't think an airline would allow the coffin with remains either....And, even though I guess it isn't very important to the plot - is Shannon every going to look like a plane wreck survivor???

Tonights episode was great. I am really enjoying Locke, I think he is my favorite character on this show.

What do ya guys think the importance of the doll might be...? Maybe it's a hint that Claire will conceive her baby under the waterfall....or something about innocence and the water....
