All I could think of with the whole Shannon and Boone thing was Cruel Intentions (Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe. For the life of me I can't think of their character names.) They were only related by marriage so to her it was okay for them to have disgusting makeout sessions.

Hubby and I just started watching it on DVD and I tell you it's very addictive. I'm hoping and praying that they find Walt.
