Next week is part 1 of the season finale (1 hour), and then the week after that (May 25th) is part 2, which is 2 hours long.

Something odd about CTV (my fellow Canadians can probably vouch for this), they keep saying "the final 2 episodes of Lost" or "the final episode of Lost" instead saying the "season finale of Lost". For all their other shows, they've said "season finale", but not for Lost. weird.

Evangeline Lilly (Kate) was on Regis yesterday. Apparently she was #2 on Maxim magazine's "Hot 100" list. (Eva Longoria from Desperate Housewives was #1.)

I was under the impression that Evie was dating Dominic Monaghan (Charlie), but on Regis she said she's not dating anyone. She said the writers are forever trying to write scenes in which she is very skimpily dressed, but she tries her best to talk them out of it.

And she said [[we'll get a tiny glimpse of the "monster" in the finale, and although the actors don't know what it is, they have been told it's definitely not a dinosaur.]]

On 20-20 she said this was her very first speaking role. Heretofore, the only acting she had done was as an extra. I think for having had no acting experience, she is doing a very commendable job. I can think of quite a few experienced actors/actresses who cannot act as well as Ms. Lilly. Plus, she is a very pretty woman and has good sexual tension with both Jack and Sawyer (but the chemistry is way better with Sawyer).

I think Evangeline is doing very well in her role, but I'm wondering, since this is her first major role on TV, and since this show is doing GREAT in the ratings, will she suffer her own version of the Seinfeld Curse once this show has run its course?

I agree aname! She has me thinking she is deep down good, one minute- then wham- what?? who is Kate?? I think that has to be good acting.

Canada Ranger Maybe someone hasn't told CTV that it is just the season finale, and the show will be back for season 2....?

She also said she was from "outside" of Vancouver, BC - "westcoast", and now I'm dying to know where outside of Vancouver. I'm a westcoaster too, and would love it if she was from somewhere nearby.

Maybe a step-father or mother's boyfriend was abusing her. Didn't her dad teach her tracking and other stuff? Then again, maybe she was abused but her crime wasn't as justified as we'd like to think.

I thought the scenes at the hotel were very Alias-esque. She was way too relaxed breaking into someone else's room to take a shower.

And, I think she is a fantastic actress. I don't think it is easy to generate sexual chemistry with two actors that way, and plus you think she is a decent person but she really makes you wonder how far she will go to protect herself.

I just re-watched last night's episode, and noticed at least one thing.

When Michael started feeling sick he told Walt to go find Jack. The first people Walt ran into were Sun and Kate, and Sun had a water bottle in her hand. Walt told them that there was something wrong with his dad, so Kate told Sun to take Walt back to Michael and she'd go find Jack. Before Sun left with Walt, she put the water bottle down

. Is it possible they were getting another bottle of water ready

I actually thought Kate was pretty smart the way she manipulated the situation, and making Sun think if she could get Jin sick, he may not leave on the raft, when in fact...Kate was hoping to get Jin's spot.

I think earlier someone mentioned Hurley seeing the numbers on the hatch next week, but in the previews it shows him looking down at the hatch, but it's hard to tell if he actually sees the numbers. I guess we'll find out next week.
