Nice points everyone. Polar bear meat. Good idea. Maybe they didn't have time or the tools, and were afraid of Mama Bear finding them.

Kate and the Marshall may have worked together, as well.

Not sure if I'm buying a direct link between the boy and the rain stopping.

Makeup could be brought with, but their hair should start to refect be stranded.
Even though Ginger always managed to look fantastic.

Great minds think alike!

I found it curious they didnt take the polar bear with them for a tasty supper but along with their rescue delusions, I think moving it down the cliff side would have been difficult.

I love the comment that they need to explore the island because their might be a clubmed on the other side.

It was the all natural coconut shampoo the professor whipped up.

If that's the case, then it also kinda makes sense that the father had a slight "encounter" with the creature while he was out . . .maybe because the boy is angry at his dad for some reason - maybe because his mom died he has to go live with a dad that has been absent from his life until now.
Nice to see you're not "pooh-poohing" my idea anymore!

And I think Jay's observation that they were all happy (except Locke) underlines the connection between Walt and his feelings and the island. They are all "puppets"... question is, whose puppets are they really?

Regarding Charlie's taped fingers:
*I assume Fate refers to the simple fact of the plane crash and being at the hands of fate.
*I think the Late refers to the fact that the rescue is late in coming... but in a cute bit of humour, they camera panned over to the pregnant woman... Late in giving birth perhaps?

Relationships:
*There is no doubt that Kate and Jack are fond of each other, however, I believe Sawyer will probably play into it somehow. Jack appeals to the good side of Kate, and Sawyer appeals to her bad side (or at least she can relate to him on that level).
*Possibly something between Walt's dad and the Korean woman will develop.
*Charlie and the pregnant woman. Like this idea so much better than his pairing with that nasty Shannon.
I'm not saying these are going to happen, just possibilities I'll be keeping an eye on.

I am still wondering about the purgatory thing, or some twist on being dead. Remember when the agent said "you would have made it if you hadn't helped the old man" I know I am just reading into things but maybe ...

Or maybe they are all in a coma from the same plane crash and haven't died yet and they are all experiencing the same thing till they die or wake up.

I think there has to be a twist like a Sixth Sense/Others thing going on here.

I am wondering about Charlie too, where is the rest of his band? Why was he traveling without them?

I am wondering too if they will start to look " lost" as in unshaven, and all that. But then of course they do have all that luggage with clothes, and toiletries in them so maybe they will be fine for awhile and we won't have to have all that eye candy go to waste. That would really suck for the actors if they all have to grow long hair and beards.

I hope they at least start looking starved and a bit unwashed (as the cast of Survivor do). Sayid and Sawyer (hotties!) already have that scruffy thing going on, as does Charlie.

The toiletries will only clean so well in seawater. The clothes and hair should look progressively grungier. Unless they go the Gilligan's Island route and presume everyone has 10 identical outfits so if one gets dirty or torn, you immediately put on another.

I was just thinking - Did anyone else see in the previews for next week - it looked like there was some guy dressed all in black looking out over them from the trees - and he didn't look familiar? I didn't tape it, so I can't go back!
