| Translation of the Korean couples conversations with other survivors, taken from the lost-tv.com message board (they had gotten it elsewhere) [[ Michael: Hey, have you seen my boy? Korean Lady: I'm sorry, I can't speak English [blank staring] ... I can't speak English. Koreany Dude: Your shirt's open, close it! Quickly! Michael: ... Kate: [washes] Korean Lady: Excuse me (my korean ain't hip enough to give you 100% here, but yeah ... this is it in a gist, she might have also been saying something akin to "excuse me, miss" , but everything must be ready, they're all looking (for you). Korean Dude: Hey you! (Or, the Korean equivalent to 'yo', actually) This is food, try one. Hurly: S'up? Korean Dude: This is sea urchin, it's really delicious. Try one. Hurly: What, that? Korean Dude: If you eat this, it'll give you some strength, it's okay to eat. Hurly: What, eat that? Korean Dude: *Eat it*, there's plenty, just - just *try* one ... Hurly: Dude, dude ... I'm starving ... Korean Dude: Yeah, yeah yeah ... (this makes me think he understands English) Hurly: But not that starving. No thank you! Incidently, there are certain ways to talk in Korean, you can say the same thing but depending upon certain words you add or don't add it can totally change the formality or the ... politeness of the words. Korean Dude is pretty polite to Hurly at first, if you notice he says "yo" at the end of each sentence - but as Hurly rejects him he gets a bit more abrupt, or less formal with him - language changes a bit. No more "yo", yo. Also, he never speaks "politely" or respectfully towards his wife. Korean Dude: This is *sea urchin*, try one. Pregnant Lady: Er, nooo ... thank you. Korean Dude: It's really important you eat this because of your baby, just have one. Have one. (I really don't think he was trying to poison her or anything here, because why would he tell her it's important she eat for her baby's sake if she doesn't understand what he's saying anyway?) Pregnant Lady: [eats one] Korean Dude: This one, yes ... eat it. There you go ... good isn't it? Have another one. Pregnant Lady: [spazzes] Korean Dude: What ... Are you okay? Are you okay? Pregnant Lady: OMG FEEL THIS PLZTHX Korean Dude: No, no, I don't want to, I don't want to ... Oh .. Pregnant Lady: Do you feel that!? Korean Dude: Oo ... I don't like it. Pregnant Lady: That's a foot! That's a kick! Korean Dude: Hand ... hand ... let go of my hand, will you? He's polite to the pregnant lady through that whole thing, although he obviously thinks she's a bit of a freak. ]] if anyone thinks that it isnt spoiler-ish, i'll take the brackets off. I just wanted to be extra careful. I also found an additional quote on the french message: [[ after it killed them, it killed them all, it says: It's outside, Brenna (possibly Brendan) took the keys ]]

| Thanks, MsFB! DJeterFan's right, no matter what it is, if it's spoilerish, a good idea to leave the spoiler brackets on. Thanks again! I was really wondering what she had said to Kate. |

| I have a feeling that Kate is a cop gone bad. NARC maybe. That is why she recognized Charlie and how she got the gun from Sawyer. I taped both episodes and have watched the me twice. I love this stuff!!!!! More, more, more........I love the idea about the comic book parallel. I also like the idea that they are all dead.

| Here is one of my theories about the island. I'm sorry if this has been discussed earlier. The island is somewhere between Australia and LA. It has been contaminated by radiation from the atomic bomb tests conducted in the 1940s. The vegetation and plant and animal life have mutated. Terry O'Quinn's secret is that he was part of the nuclear team and was aware of the consequences of contamination. Quite a theory, huh? |

And thanks MsFB for translating the Korean couple. Those two make me nervous, and now that I know what they said, I feel a little better about them. | |

| You're welcome all. I am borderline obsessed with Lost. Any other cool stuff I find, I will share. I know some other spoilers but I'm hesitant to post them because I'm a little sad I know them.

| I am also a ... so, I was looking around and I found out what the comic book...[[ Apparently, the comic book is a real one - Green Lantern & Flash- Fast Friends Part 1. I'm going to guess that the guy in green is Green Lantern and the guy in red is Flash ... anyways, the comic book is supposed to be about government-ET experiment that caused some really strange stuff... the main villain was Alien X, who our heros defeated pretty easily... but, when they offered him some meds to get him to not die, he unleashed some unworldy creatures and then killed himself... I'm wondering what those creatures are, because that might have something to do with the plot... ]]And how exactly is the comic book there? It would have gotten burned had it been on the airplane, and it would have been worn out if it was from 16 years ago... I think that's a pretty good indication that someone has been there recently... |

| Very cool, Boredom, that explains a lot! [[It'll be neat to see what the creatures are, cause I'll bet they will appear. I'm tempted to find out more information about the comic online but]] I think my finding out stuff stops here for awhile though. I don't want to ruin the show for myself. I think perhaps I have been putting too much on Walt in my theories. I still think he will play a pivotal role somehow though. This is fun! ![]() |
