I thought it was just an action indicative of this jerky guy...after smacking her hand, he went ahead and offered the sea urchins to everyone else (cause in their relationship, it appears, he's the boss and she's next to nothing). I loved it when she unbottoned her top button. And it was strange that, after not feeling the baby move for 24 hours, the pregnant girl takes one bite and jumps to her feet feeling the joys of fetal movement. Clearly that scene was written by someone who has never had a baby!

Also, Kate can't be all that bad, remember when the plane started going down and she put the oxygen mask on the marshall guy?

So many interesting characters to develop. Hopefully they'll all stay interesting.

yeah....previously she even fell flat on her belly when running away from some explosion. I was wondering how come there wasn't any blood at all!

Interesting points, touque. I'll have to re-watch my tape. At the end of the show, Shannon (?) was translating the French words coming out of the transceiver. I was listening intently in case she was inaccurately translating or omitting something. She did not.

BTW: I've eaten sea urchin at a sushi restaurant in New Orleans. It was very good. The consistancy is a little strange and it's very rich. I think it would be an aquired taste. Just like raw oysters. You'll either love it or hate it.

I think it was at the end where Shannon has her ear pressed to the transceiver and her mouth drops open in horror. Because of the background noise and the others yammering away, I couldn't catch what was said. I don't think it was "Would you like fries with that?".

Also, Kate and Sawyer must have a past together. I don't think they are strangers.

I am so glad people on here taped the episodes and re-watched them and filled us in on all this info. I am going to have to start taping them and watching closer. I love this show and there is so much stuff in it that you have to really pay attention while watching.
I was also wondering if the girl translated the French properly, thanks for clarifying.
When Sawyer was reading the note, for some reason I felt it was from a wife or girlfriend ending a relationship. I don't know why, I just got that feeling.
Like someone earlier had stated, I also think the show would still be good without the monster. I guess the monster is there to keep us guessing and to have something to continually talk about.
