I came across this short article on SCIFI.com. Co-creator Damon Lindelof gives some insight about the story. Looks they will have lots of ways to keep us intrigued and speculating. ----------- Lost Has No Limits Damon Lindelof, co-creator of ABC's SF series Lost, told SCI FI Wire that the creative team hasn't found itself limited by the show's premise: plane crash survivors stuck on a deserted island. With 48 survivors and a core cast of 13, Lost is proving to have more stories than they can tackle. "Every single one of these characters is so uniquely interesting to me," Lindelof said in an interview. "We have spent so much time already discussing who they all are. The first phase of the show is finding out why everybody was in Australia and why they were flying to Los Angeles. Answering the questions 'Where were you coming from?' and 'Where were you going?' will be fairly interesting for everyone. And the answers to those questions are very satisfying." Lindelof, who co-created the show with Alias' J.J. Abrams, also writes the series in his capacity as executive producer and show runner. He said that the distinctive mix of characters translates into constant inspiration. "Lately, I have been obsessing on the Korean couple [Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim] and then I'll start thinking about Hurley [Jorge Garcia], who is the heavyset guy, and he is equally fascinating. Then I think the pregnant girl [Emilie de Ravin] is going to be having the baby, and I'm looking forward to that episode. We've never seen a birth on a deserted island. It will be an event in many ways. There is no character that I don't get, and there are so many stories I want to tell. What began as an overwhelming 'How could you ever do 100 episodes of this thing?' has suddenly become 'I want to do this and that.' It's almost limitless. I know that there will be skepticism out there about how it can be done, but hopefully that skepticism turns into 'How can it be done? I'm going to watch and see!'" Lost airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Did anyone recognize the pilot? I think that was Weiss from Alias. What crime did Kate commit? She sure didn't look awkward holding the gun on Sawyer.

I think it will be interesting to see if the actor who plays the heavy set guy loses a lot of weight. He will have to be big during flashbacks but then won't he need to lose a considerable amount of weight? I wonder if that was in his contract? Of course they may come up on some huge food source and be fine. Future survivor wannabe's take notes!

Because I'm a complete and utter , I taped the show Saturday and re-watched it. Here's a few things I noticed.*Someone says of the creature "Whatever it is, it's not natural" *The lady who Jack helps on the plane says that "It sounds really familiar..." Someone asks where she's from and she says "The Bronx". Perhaps she heard the sound at the zoo and the creature really is a giant bear? (an unnatural one of course ) And perhaps it's size depends on the amount of fear one is feeling. Sawyer's bear was smaller because he had the courage to face it.*Kate and the U.S. marshall have a past relationship of sorts. She says "I don't care what you believe" and he responds "I know. You never have." *The first page of the comic book shows the angry polar bear. The second page shows a dark-skinned boy sitting on a rock looking down. Two figures in costume stand across from him... a light-haired guy with a lightning strike across his chest and a dark haired guy with what looks like a leaf or tree in a field of red on his chest. I'm going to assume the dark boy represents the boy Walt. I think the costumed guys represent people from the show as well. Possibly the old guy(got to get his name) and Jack. *When the old guy says to the boy, "You've had a rough month" the kid's only answer is "I guess". Odd, isn't it? Speaking of odd... did I mention I was a ?? ![]()

too. I paused my tivo on the comic book to try and read the spanish on the comic book pages but it was too blurry when I paused it. My spanish is horrible anyway. It could have been a recipe for all I know. Regarding the marshall: I dont want to read too much into what he said to her but it's tempting. Their relationship could be built from him chasing her and trying to recapture her, like Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford from the Fugitive. We'll see tho!

Ok, I'm joining the bandwagon.Interesting points, touque. I'll have to re-watch my tape. At the end of the show, Shannon (?) was translating the French words coming out of the transceiver. I was listening intently in case she was inaccurately translating or omitting something. She did not. ![]()
