The figment of imagination thing sounds reasonable. After all, it worked in Harry Potter, and Sphere.

I also didn't notice the comic book, except when his dad said it was in Spanish.

K, you know what else I was thinking? We don't know why the plane went down. Maybe there WAS a bomb or something, which means that one of the people still there might be a very bad person..

i thoguht it was clearly turbulence and the mid section of the plane broke away...just surprised that when the plane breaks off...the other seats don't get sucked out by the force...and they even managed to crash land. wow.

I was thinking Stephen King's "It".

I've added a forum to my Josh Holloway (Sawyer) fan site if anyone wants to join. There's a section for Lost discussion.

Thanks for confirming that! No one else I talked to watched OZ or could remember. It was driving me crazy because he looked so familiar.

Thanks, yardgnome! I thought he looked familiar too, and couldn't place him at all. It's been years since I've had cable and seen OZ so there's no way I would have figured it out on my own. Now that nagging "I know I know this guy" feeling will go away!

I find the concept of this show absolutely bizarre (come on, a tropical island with polar bears... and some folks have been lost there for 16 years?), but then I must watch it, and I am looking forward to next episode. And for the nice girl being the escaped prisoner, that was a nice touch. The most amazing thing about this show is of course that it is an ABC production and it works (Are they finally learning how to make good TV?)

I like that it's bizarre - I can't wait to find out what the heck is going on! It really makes you think.
