Was there an explanation as to why Sawyer was in Australia?

Thoughts on the show:
- I think im the only one who is suspicious of Locke. I think he's the one who is responsible of Sayid doing what he promised not to do. I think he's controlling people in some way or another. Since he saw that "beautiful eye of the island" he's been weirder and weirder, he seems to know everything and actually i think he has a reason to stay on the island...where he is needed. Lets remember the island gave him a precious gift and he is in debt with the island...Thats just my two cents. I just think we have to watch him closely.
-Are Boone and Shannon really brother and sister? does anyone think they are a bit weird or suspicious, I mean i would never treat my brother that way, they just dont look nor act like family. Its stange but theres something going on.
-Claire and Charlie are so cute! I love the interaction between those two.
-Jack was so sweaty... he needs a new shirt
- I believe we will be introduced to the French lady next episode...
-I dont think it was Sawyer who hit Sayid, i think it was the french lady or Locke...That cigarrete idea seemed to unreal, i dont think Sawyer would do that...
-What a love triange! Jack or Sawyer. Well bad boys have all the fun, but the heroes are the ones who are closer to a woman's heart

ABC usually re-runs it Saturdays at 8 PM, but this Saturday I see a Harry Potter movie listed instead. Even CTV in Canada doesn't seem to be airing a rerun. If I learn different I will certainly post it.

I'm joining you in the camp of the suspicious. He was really quick to get Sayid thinking it was Sawyer who hit him. And then giving Sayid the knife - kind of provoking matters.

There's something rather incestuous about the Boone-Shannon relationship, methinks.

Sawyer. Ugh. Jack all the way.

Am I the only one who, upon seeing Sayid surrounded by the torture devices in next week's preview, though, "Hey! They're re-using some old Alias props." Maybe.

Qboots - I noticed that discrepancy with the money as well. Hmmm...

I don't like Locke, I didn't like his character when he played Kendall on ALIAS either. Maybe it's just the way he looks and talks, he creeps me out!

For the longest time I thought they were boyfriend/girlfriend, I don't see a family resemblance either.

Yes. I had to put the closed captioning on, which I seem to have to do a lot also when I watch Survivor.

This was probably the best episode since the first one. It actually made me glad that I kept watching even though my interest was waning each week.

What an intense episode!

That's the first thing that came to my mind. It's been 16 years since that signal has been broadcasting so the french woman could still be alive. She's probably the one that hit Sayid on the head, too. I just don't buy Locke's explanation that Sawyer delayed the set off the rocket with cigarrette.

Hurley actually is losing weight, it's just not very noticeable yet. In his words: "It will be a while before anyone offers me a piggy-back ride."
Hurley's character gives the show the much-needed break from all the tension. Here I was crying because Shannon couldn't breath and Jack was trying to help her work through her anxiety. Then Hurley makes that to Jack about it being a "Jedi moment". You can't help but like that guy.

I don't find anything wrong with Shannon and Boone's brother/sister relationship. I guess I just see Boone as very protective of his sister since she's got asthma problems. We have yet to see their story, though. Almost everyone's story has some thing that you wouldn't expect.
Like Sawyer, who wouldv'e thought that he was the one that wrote that letter when he was 8 years old, and then turned into the man that he despised.
