Another flashback: Sawyer is buying shares of an oil drilling operation in Mexico at $3000 a pop. There's $140,000 in his briefcase, but he needs another $160,000. He goes to dinner with the blonde (Jess) and her husband, David. He's talking David into investing. Seems like Jess and David may be the parents of whoever wrote him that letter.

Hurley cracks me up. Shannon starts to panic due to her asthma and Jack calms her down, and Hurley calls it a Jedi Moment.

Sayid wondered if Locke had an alibi for last night when he was knocked out - Locke was skinning the boar, but had no witnesses. Gives Sayid a knife for protection. Sayid tortures Sawyer with bamboo under the fingernails. Sawyer says he'll only talk to Kate. She gives him what he wants: a kiss, which she was obviously enjoying. But he says he never had the inhalers, he found Boone's book washed up on shore. Sayid goes crazy and stabs Sawyer in the arm with Locke's knife, hitting an artery.

Now we find out that Sawyer's name isn't really Sawyer, and he's the one who wrote that letter when he was a little boy in Tennessee.

Man I hope that wound on his arm prevents him from from wearing a shirt for a long time.

Is it just me, or is the system really slow tonight?

No Qboots, not just you, it's taking me forever to do anything on the site right now....
After the previews I saw, I'm going to be kind of disapointed if the show turns into an Island of Dr. Moreau kind of thing.....
I though Kate hit it when she said that 'Sawyer' wanted to be disliked by everyone on the island, then when they went deeper into his story, and the letter was read, I thought maybe guilt played a part in his demeanor.

system is slow at times tonight..........

I am so glad the show is stepping further into the mystery of the island.

I guess we can now assume with a fair amount of certainty who really hit Sayid.

Shame on those of you who suggested our friend Locke

This Bachalor show is such the let down from my Lost high.

December12, I thought it was more self-loathing than guilt -- that he turned into exactly the sort of man he hated.
It was really interesting to see more about his character and chest.
SUCH an intense episode. I couldn't watch the torture bit -- I had my eyes shut and my hands over my ears.
