I don't want it to be Locke, so I'm going to point out again that we were told there would be no mysterious mumbo jumbo - strictly scientific (possibly "pseudo").

I'm really leaning towards anyone but Locke right now, especially considering that Locke's off on another part of the island hunting, and I strongly doubt that he would get there just in time to knock Sayid out... seems like we would see him coming, or he wouldn't be back skinning the pig the next time we saw him.

Wouldn't it be one hell of a twist if it turned out to be Hurley? Wait...no...that would mean they'd have to eat him....Forget I said anything!!

I agree 100%

I really have nothing to add to this thread, but I love reading it each week

So we now know of a Steve and Scott, which brings me to my question. How many survivors are there now and how many have been named?

There are, I believe 46 survivors left, because the pilot died and the girl in the water... her name is mentioned in the thread.

1. Jack Shepperd
2. Kate
3 John Locke
4. Shannon
5. Boone
6. Charlie
7. Sun
8. Jin
9. Hurley
10 Walt
11 Micheal
12 Sawyer Hello!
13. Sayid
14. Claire
15. Rose
16. Scott
17. Steve
18 Vincent the dog. But he doesn't count in the survival count, so that would be 17 of 46 survivors named, as far as I can recall.

Thanks Toque. I wonder if all the survivors will eventually be named and will they bring back the same extras next year.

They have been saying that nothing will stay the same. Some main characters will die, or fade into the background as new characters are introduced. I think it will help the show stay fresh and interesting.
I don't know if this is really considered a spoiler, and I'm not completely sure if someone else has already mentioned it, but the did say this about the character of Charlie...
[[ This character is not going anywhere. They say that as long as Dom Monaghan wants to be a part of the show, he's staying. They love working with him...which is great news for the Dom fans! ]]

Yea! Glad to hear the spoilered news. Looking at the list of known cast members, most were accounted for at the time of Sayid's attack. I doubt it was Claire or Rose, so maybe the introduction to new survivors will start this week. (still refuse to believe it's Locke.)
