| Another obvious religious three: Jesus rose from the grave 3 days after dying. Also, the three wisemen . |

| i personally thought that Locke was the one who knocked Sayid out as he probably didn't want them to succeed in getting off the island. next week, Kate is forced to kiss Sawyer to make him hand over the inhalers is it? the trailer was so fast and everything was basically in a whirl..i can't even remember who punched who... |

| You know it may be playing on more than just the Christian religion. We shouldn't be working with blinders on. I teach an element of comparative religions in my world languages and cultures classes and could string out some other theories (but I should be in my car on the way to work right now.)

| Next week's episode: -------------------- Wednesday, November 10, 8/7c "Confidence Man" When Shannon suffers an asthma attack, Jack and Sayid realize brutality might be the only way to convince Sawyer to relinquish the life-saving medicine he's hoarding. Meanwhile, Sun struggles to decide if she'll obey husband Jin's orders to stay out of others' affairs, and Kate uncovers some shocking secrets about Sawyer. |

| The symbolism of three is very strong in our culture, and others. The Celts used the number three in their religion, the Greeks used the number three---the three fates, the three graces, Cerberus the three headed dog in mythology. In our world we have three divisions of time--past present and future, we have Thought Word and Deed, Animal Vegetable, and Mineral. There's Faith Hope and Charity. Lets not forget we give Three Cheers, and our fables have Three Wishes. Its something you don't really think about, and its always around us. |

| Wow! Like you all, I LOVE this show! And look at the pages in this thread grow and grow, and grow! Yeah, I kinda thought all the symbolism last night was a little over the top too. When Locke started talking about the moth, I knew this episode was going to be all about personal struggle, strength, etc. But it was still excellent! Who the heck hit Sayid?? I'm wondering if it was the French woman too.

| This week's show was way below the quality of the previous week's, in my opinion. It just didn't hold the exciting twists or anything that the others did. Hopefully, the storyline will pick up next week again. I guess a show can't be perfect all the time. Seems like you all liked it though, so maybe it was just me. |
